Koichi was born in a rather poor part of Tokyo/Japan and grew up being a more or less normal boy. But as a child already he had been looking rather feminine what he personally really liked but often caused men to try and touch him. In the poor area they lived no one cared about it if a person got or something like that and so Koichi often was the victim, making him scared of people when they get too close to him.
But at the same time somewhere deep within Koichi another soul was born, slumbering most of the time.
Koichi's masochistic side, the side that enjoys being touched, being violated by those men.
Koichi was afraid of this other side of himself once he realized it was there.
Therefore he came to the circus out of his own will once he heard of it, believing that here he would be more or less...
