biography

Donghae has been born and raised a hunter his whole life. His father was a hunter, his grandfather, his great grandfather and so on. It was no surprise that the family business was to be passed down onto him. He successfully completed his first hunt at just the age of 7, his father behind him all the way.

His family as hunters, hated any and every being they were supposed to hunt down and kill, and for a long while Donghae was like that as well. At the age of 13, him and his father were hunting a vampire nest that had kidnapped both his younger and older sisters. When they got there, his little sister was fine, but his older sister was in the process of being turned. His father, being heartless towards anything not human, scooped up his youngest daughter and dragged Donghae out of the building, not even glancing at his oldest.

That night, Donghae screamed, begging and pleading his father to bring his noona back to him. His father refused though, backhanding the young boy and locking him in his room. For years after that, Donghae went through depression, though his father never noticed.

Once again at the age of 18, him and his father were hunting the very same Vampire nest that had turned his sister when he was 13. Donghae and his father were ready to get revenge and stormed inside, almost killing every single one.

Except Donghae saw a very familiar face in the midst of that battle. His older sister, stood among the chaos like he did, frozen as they stared at each other. Immediately he ran up to her, not caring that she was no longer human and hugged her tightly, dropping his weapon. She hugged back as well, almost crying on his shoulder, saying that she had missed him so much. It was then that his father saw him and grew enraged, barking at Donghae to let go of 'that monster'.

Donghae refused, and when his father prepared to attack his sister, Donghae stood protectively in front of her, getting a chest full of silver before his father was killed in front of him by his sister.

Then His sister sat next to him where he was lying on the ground, weeping for him as he bled out on the floor. She vowed that she wouldn't let him die, just as she did so long ago when he was first born. Pulling his head to her lap, she brushed his bangs as he smiled almost sleepily up at her, glad that he was at least able to see his noona one more time before he died, not really caring that his father, leader of the hunters, was dead (they always had a rocky relationship). 

Then he felt it, a pain that shook his entire world and breathed a new kind of non-life into his veins. She had bit him, injecting him with her own blood that now flows among his veins.

The process only went halfway though, leaving him half mortal and half vampire. A dhampir among hunters who continue to kill anything that isn't mortal. Hunting is in his blood, but so is vampire, leaving him torn between two worlds that should never have touched like this. He has seen both the horrors and the wonders of beings not human, and it's left him almost broken, having to choose.

He is not ready for this.

1. I don't normally join straight only roleplays since I only RP relationships, but this Idea was too cool to pass up. So I'm just going to say now, I will not be putting Donghae in a relationship in this RP. :P

2. I am very friendly and love people so don't be afraid to talk to me! ^-^

3. When roleplaying, I prefer to plot first, but we can wing it if you want to. Also, I don't care who starts first, but if the plot obviously starts with your character you should start first. Likewise, if my characters starts first, then I will make the starter.

Bleeding Heart | Female 1/1 [V] | Right after Donghae became a Dhampir, you lfet him, too afraid to face him once he realized he came back to 'life'. You've been on the run for a while, avoiding his secret search parties that he sends out to look for you. Until one night, when Donghae decides to join the search party, and finds you in the woods alone. 'Why have you been running away sister?'

Invisible | Any 1/2 [V] | When the hunters come looking for the mansion, you're glad the magic hides it from their view. Except, every time a certain hunter passes by, you see him look directly at the mansion, directly into the window you look out from since you're always staring at the hunters. One day you finally decide to confront Donghae. Why doesn't he tell anyone where the Vampire's mansion is, if he can see it? Why can he see it all?

Let's Talk | Any 0/1 | Sometimes Donghae goes to the bar because he needs to take a rest, get a couple drinks and sleep for an entire day just to make sure he doesn't fall apart completely. Every time he visits, you're the one he sits next to, and all you do is talk. It's not much, but if definitely helps you and him straighten things out in your messed up lives.

Hunter Becomes Hunted | Any 0/3 [V,W,WW] | Your hatred for any hunter runs so deep that any who cross your path are immediately attacked. Those few that escape your clutches, well, you hunt them down until they give up and you slaughter them. When Donghae escapes you with ease, you intend to hunt him down, but he doesn't seem to give up. He's definitely not like normal hunters. Perhaps he isn't even completely mortal anymore?

Follow Kill the Leader | Any 1/1 [H] | You hate all things not human. It's your job to kill them, so when you notice the new leader acting weird you start getting suspicious. Suddenly he's running faster than your eyes can see and he's his eyes sometimes turn a different color. Once the truth is found out, you'll do anything in your power to kill him. Even if he used to be your best friend.
