Raised in an affluent family SeungHyun was the only son of his parents with no siblings. His father had chosen to become a police officer and then a detective after that.SeungHyun found out that his mother hadn't disappeared but had been killed and his father wouldn't give up the case all the way until his untimely death at the end of a felon's gun. Despite this and his wealthy maternal grandfather's objections, the tall man went into the police academy. Though he'd breezed through and worked hard while on the force he found it restricting. The rules and other restrictions frequently meant that crimes went unsolved or the bad guy got away. Like the man who'd killed his mother. As a way to combat the need to help but still have some peace of mind carrying on his father's legacy and to find his mother's killer he opened a small private detective agency.

In his heart, he had never forgiven the man who was his mother's father. If he hadn't felt that a working man, a simple cop wasn't good enough for his daughter, then pissed off the wrong people, leaving her and her family to fend for themselves in his mess, for allowing his mother to be so wholly disrespected or forgotten. Because of his attitude and ruthless determination, his moniker had become Top, and it stuck. He had a cold, severe, and often too busy for everyone attitude. Top kept his pace, hours, and even solitude during his private time work was now invading both his space and life.

Top spends long hours at his office because he has no one and nothing to come home to. He frequently works from home. But there was a time when these things were very limited. Without a partner to care or call him on it, Seunghyun's focus gets skewed and is rarely evenly split between his home and his work. Any partner would have to be loving, kind, and understanding that his job isn't 9-5 because, as a detective, his hours are all over the place and no one calls him on it anymore. So he'll need someone who can stand up to him.
Lastly and most importantly, Top is just that in his relationship and his bed. He doesn't and won't bottom, so don't ask. He's aggressive, possessive, protective, and has no hesitation taking what he wants when it is right. In bed, he is passionate and a bit , though nothing hardcore. While he is very happy to have regular or rough , making love to his partner is something that he relishes.
