Kevin is originally from Sweden.  When  he was 10, he parents died in a car crash.  He was adopted by Japanese people.  They brought him back to Japan where he learned Japanese and became interested in dressing like a Japanese doll.  His adoptive father's job required them to move to Korea. His father now has cancer, and Kevin works long hours to help pay the bills.  He works at a maid cafe during the day and a gay brothel at night.
