CHOI SEOK HOON
Choi Seokhoon despite his happy and rather flirty persona, had a miserable and dark childhood; an only child seeing his parents fight and his father walk out of their marriage with a young money craving vixen. He lived in poverty for three years with his mother who grew ill, working part time jobs to help her cover the rent and taking his best friend’s notes from the hagwons he attended in the evening to keep his grades up. It was when his father was being investigated for fraud that he came back to the two of them, pointing out the errors in his sleazy ways. His business fell through but his contacts remained untarnished. His successful lawyer friend won him his case and he’s left as soon as a successful woman with a loose zip on her dress caught his eye. Within a another two years, he was back at the top with another business, but this time he wanted it to last a long time. He invested in illegal protection and brought Seokhoon into his dirty business world. He received his own apartment, private education and immediate acceptance into the best university in the country. He hated his father but he didn't hate the allowance he was given, that went straight into his mother’s bank account. Though it wasn’t a large amount, it was more than enough to keep her from working too strenuously. More often than not, his mother would refuse the money, saying that his happiness was enough for her to live the life she was, but he would shower her with gifts anyway. He loved her and would do anything to earn that little bit more to make her life easier. That’s how he got involved with the gangs that protected his father’s business (not that he knew of course); a lower subdivision, a street gang. He housed their drugs in return for a percentage of their profit. He kept their weapons safe and provided them with a place to plan their activities. He wasn’t proud of what he was doing but he knew it was the only way to make sure his mother was living okay. Soon his father would pay for what he did… and his mother would finally be able to live comfortably.
