Biography;

Shinhye was born on August 10, 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States with the English name Shayna. She's the oldest of five children, herself, --, --, --, and --. In 1996, Shinhye started her acting career at the age of 6. She became a semi-well known child actress and model in her hometown. When she was 8 years old, her parents sent her to live with her aunt and uncle to accept an offer to join a Korean agency, Mint Entertainment. There she became a child star that helped boost her teenage and adult career as well. She became the most well known for her many lead roles in musical dramas. As the interest in her singing grew, her company decided to form a coed group with her in it that would debut as an idol group. Unfortunately, since Shinhye was the only girl in the group, eventually there were many rumors about scandals involving her and the other members. She found out that it was a group of trainees that wanted her out of the group so they could join, this was also after the company had decided that they were going to give her a solo career when she was supposed to renew her contract the next week. When she tried to tell her CEO, she found out that one of the trainees involved was actually the CEO's daughter. Shinhye was promptly kicked out of the company and was suggested to Royal Entertainment who took her in without hesitation. After some contemplating, she decided to become a trainee once again. This time she hoped it would be much better. She was confident though after seeing how happy her cousin, IU, was here and she knew she had made a great choice in a new company.

With all of this, of course Shinhye isn't exactly the same she used to be. Being famous ever since she was a child, she's used to being in the spotlight so many things no longer surprise her. Due to her past, both with her company and love, she doesn't trust others easily. The only people she really cares about are her family and herself. However, she hopes to one day find the one that can get past her wall around her heart and she'll love them unconditionally. Besides that, she's actually very playful, loves to play the guitar and dance. She absolutely loves musicals little kids and tends to be a bit sarcastic and violent. She can also be a bit motherly, as can be seen in the way she cares for her younger siblings and cousin as well as her group members.
