Background and personality: Seohyun was originally born and raised in California, until the age of 10. She grew up speaking both Korean and English, and tried learning other languages. She failed to do so, due to her busy schedule with school and helping her mom out with her corner store. She grew up as what most people said to be poor. It was true that they did not have alot of money, but they still were able to pay bills. Seohyun was happy.
Her father had left her mother early into the pregnancy. He claimed that he wasn't ready for anything that serious. As she grew older, she became more and more interested in music. It was almost like it was something she had to listen to daily. It was something that helped her concentrate or calm down whenever she was nervous. At the age of 16, her mother had moved them all the way to Korea where she auditioned for a company named Starlight Beauty, wanting to hopefully become a famous singer to hopefully give her mom a better life with the money. And she also attended acting school, even though it was alot to handle at one time. After 4 years of training, she was just about to be introduced as the 7th and finale member, when she suddenly had a . She was rushed to the hospital and her mother was alerted. Her mother immediately pulled her out the company, thinking that they caused the with all the training and stress. About 2 years later, she decided to go with her backup plan of becoming an actress. Her mother was somewhat hesitant, but eventually agreed. She just wanted to see her special girl happy. Seohyun, now 23 years old, auditioned for another company in hopes of being an actress.
