Early Life: 
Kim Jonghyun was on the fast track to becoming one of the most famous singers in South Korea. He won multiple talent shows and attracted the attention of agencies all over Asia. He was contracted with the top entertainment company in the country and his debut was absolutely flawless. He had millions of fans all over the world, concerts were sold out in minutes, and his schedule was booked for the next five years. Jonghyun was living the life he always wanted for himself, and he was barely twenty years old. The longer he was in th entertainment business the more adventurous he grew, dabbling in acting on occasion, and even going so far as to produce his first English album. He was determined to conquer the world through music. He whole heartedly believed that he could do it, he knew he was talented but was never conceited about it and he always gave back to his fans when he could. Holding spontaneous free concerts on the streets, and he always took the time to autograph anything and everything. He was even voted Korea's iest man and most eligible bachelor for two years in a row. His live was perfect, until suddenly it wasn't.

 

The Accident: 
The year Jonghyun turned twenty four everything changed. He was headed home from a late night schedule, a photoshoot that had gone really well and he was rather proud of himself. The following day was filled with interviews about his upcoming music video and he was actually looking forward to them. But his manager wasn't nearly as enthused as he was, in fact he was falling asleep at the wheel. One dangerous swerve and the veered completely off the road, Jonghyun didn't know what happened, only that they hit something and the car flipped. Then it was hot, scorching, burning, pain. Thick black smoke filled his lungs and stung his eyes, he couldn't see and he couldn't breathe. He was too in shock to feel the pain of the broken limbs or the heat of the flames that were getting too close. He was pulled out in time to save his life, but not in time to save his voice, or his eyesight. The intense heat of the fire had damaged his vocal chords beyond repair, he would never sing again, he could barely even talk, even his eyes had been damaged by the heat. He wasn't fully blind, but his eye sight was poor at best. His torso and part of his thighs were scarred from the third degree burns and his arms and neck bore the deep scars where glass had embedded into his skin. He was lucky to be alive, but his career came to an abrupt end.

 

Present Day: 
Jonghyun lives his life far from the spot light now, after his accident only the truly dedicated fans bothered to remember him. The money he made from his time in the lime light had him financially set for life but that made little difference to him. His recovery had been painful and slow, burying his dreams so abruptly had left him hollow and uncertain what to do with himself. He adopted a puppy, a sweet but not all that bright little blue doberman. She helps him through, being his seeing eye dog and sometimes his voice when he needs to be heard. She's his constant companion and the only reason he learned to smile again. He works odd jobs on occasion, but he rarely socializes. He always wears sunglasses to hide his face and eyes, he doesn't want people feeling sorry for him. Despite the hand that life dealt him he is finding his way through and finding a new purpose.
