Gunhee was born and raised in the poor part of Seoul. His parents divorced when he was young, his mother had custody of him and his older sister. They didn’t have much and lived in a small apartment together. At a young age he started working, doing odd jobs around the neighborhood. He did whatever he could to help his family. His father wasn’t around much as he grew up and he never had a proper male figure in his life. Growing up was rough for him. He wasn’t the smartest, and he sure wasn’t the richest. His family’s apartment was once broken into and all their rent money was stolen. They were then homeless for a year before  they got money for another ty apartment. At the young age of 16 he fell in love with a rich girl whose father tore them apart. His heart was broken but it didn’t stop him from looking for love. At 18, one year away from graduating high school, his current girlfriend was found to be pregnant. Her family was poor. His family was poor. Between the two of them they had barely any money to raise a baby. Even knowing all of that Gunhee wanted to keep the baby and become a father. He dropped out of school and started looking for jobs. His grandmother gave him her ring to propose to the girl. He was happy. Really and truly happy. As he went to go to propose he found out that her and her family had picked up and moved away. To this day he doesn’t know what happened to her or his child.
