Description
jung soojung
the seer¦ krystal¦ twenty
female ¦ heteroual¦ mutant
s.h.i.e.l.d ¦ single
Sometimes, when chaos burns like wildfires around us,
we have no other choice but to fall in love with the warmth.
Background:
Monster.
That’s what she became once she was able to crack an eye open to what she had done. As if the war that happened between the North and the South had not caused enough devastation to their home and to her family, the power that she now holds brought down the worse. Soojung, who lacks the ability to control the newfound potential bestowed upon her, had ended up taking the lives of even those who managed to survive the war.
And she didn’t even knew it, as though the one who caused a massive destruction was another persona that had taken over her as the foreign energy filled her body.
Soojung could remember the smoke, the dead bodies, everything; but could remember not a thing about what happened when the powers that coursed within her was awakened. What used to be her home was now obliterated. Her mother, gone, and her brother, nowhere to be found.
A group of mutants took her in. She was in no good condition herself back then; she was covered in wounds, her left arm injured and the burn in her leg rendering her unable to walk. They said they were good people. They told her everything will be alright. They said they will help her, that they will get rid of the confusion that was all that filled her mind. They said they will take her to a safe place, and that they will be the ones to guide her as though a newfound family.
They didn’t.
The mutants who took her in told her that her brother died—that he was killed by the organization called S.H.I.E.L.D. She didn’t know exactly what or who they were, but as she heard the news, Soojung knew she resented them with such a passion, not knowing the information given to her was false. The female was filled with so much rage, so much desire to avenge her family, that she became none more than a mere puppet to the mutants who took her in. Used and taken advantage to, because her power was purely one of a kind. Instead of helping her, they manipulated her.
She became more than just their pawn, as time passed and she gained more knowledge over the power she possessed. Albeit still under their command, she gained authority. She wasn’t Jung Soojung anymore—she was Krystal, the Seer. The one who sees. The eyes of the organization she worked for, she became.
But her brother was alive. He had always been.
Personality:
She had always been the odd one, to simply say it. She is usually silent and observant; her gaze, often startling than not, is what gives people the wrong impression of her. Despite her slightly disturbing disposition, though, Krystal is actually caring. Grounded and thoughtful, she is very careful when it comes to making decisions. Initially, she is doubtful of other people, especially to those she does not know yet very well. However, it takes little time for her to get to know someone, given her abilities include having to ‘see’ through one living being.
Krystal is good with empathizing with other people’s feelings; when reading other people’s minds, she doesn’t just simply read. She also feels their emotion, thus allowing her to be able to identify with them. She cares deeply for the people she holds dear, and these people might actually be considered her greatest weakness, apart from her lack of better knowledge and awareness with her own capabilities. After the war fourteen years ago, Krystal had developed strong resentment towards those who wage war. Humanity, to her, is something that should be treasured until their end of time. With this, she’s willing to fight battles in order to protect mankind.
To be reminded of what happened in her childhood—the war, the casualties, the annihilation—may perhaps be her biggest nightmare. She lost so much in the war, almost including her own brother—who she never knew was alive all along—and to remember the torment was… well, painful. She usually becomes emotional each time she recalls the memory.
Abilities:
Chaos Magic.
Psionics. She possesses an array of psionic powers, which manifest in form of reddish glowing energy currents. The currents can control and distort molecules and forms of physical forces, such as friction, kinetic energy, pressure, matter state, and even gravity. This energy is capable of controlling many forms of matter on a molecular level and can be used to control molecules and physical forces in various ways:
- Telekinesis. The ability to mentally move and manipulate objects through force of the mind.
- Levitation. Through the use of telekinesis, she is able to simulate flight.
- Telepathy. The ability to read or mentally communicate and experience memories and thoughts of others or project her own thoughts through a neuro-electric interface that gives her telepathy. She can also sense the minds and emotions of those around her.
- Hypnosis. The ability to deploy a form of mental inertness upon others through a form of hypnosis. When this ability is in use, Maximoff's reddish energy takes a more mist-like form, floating into the head of the victim in the form of neurons. The effects also distort the victim's iris coloration, turning them red. This also allows her to control other people's actions. She can also manipulate the memory and sense of others at will, induce sleep or pain and create illusions without any difficulty.
- Hex energy. The ability to project energy blasts by gathering particles, molecules and physical forces into a contained space inside her energy to blow or hit her enemies. These contained spaces could be in any shape and form and outlined her telekinetic spheres of influence, making her telekinesis visible and in reddish color. When a target of hers is hit with her energy, she can use her telekinesis to inflict further damage. She can also create force fields through the use of the hex energy.

Other Abilities.
- Combat. Despite leaning more on using her abilities, Krystal is also trained in hand-to-hand combat; although she's not really confident with her combat abilities.
Weakness.
- Lack of better knowledge to control her abilities. Given the wide range of her abilities, she still have so much to know about. Albeit there are some fields she already excels in controlling, there are still so much for her to discover.
- Emotions. Krystal could be emotional, especially when the ones she holds dear are involved.

OOC:
+ I may not be online 24/7, but I do check up on my account even for at least a few hours or so during my free time. Please don't always rely on the online sign that appears beside my character name. I may be marked online, but that doesn't always mean I'm doing anything roleplay-related.
+ My writing style is versatile. Replies varies in length, depending on my mood or what I get. If you want to roleplay with me, though, please bear it in mind that I give sluggish replies. Some plots I take long time to write about, and I'm not always as inspired.
+ If you take the initiative to ask me to roleplay, I expect you to start, and vice versa.
+ My timezone is GMT +8. I'm usually online during weeknights and pretty much the whole day during weekends (if I'm not that swamped with school stuffs, that is!).
+ If I happen to forget to reply to you, please do notify me! There are times when I miss the posts in my wall, so I'm not able to send a response. If so, don't hesitate to post on my wall. Just please don't do it a lot. Once is enough!
