BACKGROUND

It was years ago, when the war between North Korea and South Korea broke out. There was fire everywhere, and smoke billowed thick up to the skies. Sunggyu didn't know how many died. Their mother had took him and his half-sister into a hiding place, but apparently, even that place wasn't safe from the attacks. The house got burned down, and it was there that S.H.I.E.L.D found him after months of tracking his mother down, among the burnt ruins. The boy suffered terrible burns and was barely alive, but they took him in and nursed him back to life. His mother was reported to be dead, and with his sister nowhere to be found, Sunggyu consented to join S.H.I.E.L.D, deciding to return the favor of saving his life.

Shortly afterwards, he was trained in combat skills, quickly becoming one of the top trainees there due to his enhanced speed. The experiments they did on him had further enhanced this ability and he became faster than ever, though it came not without a cost: his memory. The foreign material they merged into his blood had wiped his childhood memory clean after three full days of excruciating pain at the end of the project they call 'the Racer'; it was a risky experiment, but he miraculously survived, binding the material's uncanny quality to bend time to his needs.

PERSONALITY

Although usually lighthearted and easygoing, Sunggyu often took things systematically because he was the chaos himself. With the pain in his past forgotten, the introverted male became more open to others. He's often stubborn and opted to dive head-first into messes trying to solve it, but he's a valuable ally to be with—if he's on your side.

THE CHASER

'Racer' was the name of his experimental project, but eventually, the S.H.I.E.L.D project head opted to codename him 'Chaser' instead. S.H.I.E.L.D used him mostly to find people, and he's almost always the fastest at it, providing he has good backups. The Chaser rarely kills and prefers a one-to-one combat, keeping in mind not to inflict unnecessary injuries and/or casualties—he'd even sacrifice himself for the safety of the innocents, but he could be ruthless if need be. In a simulation, he'd slice his enemies into pieces even before they can blink, having unparalleled agility and good maneuvres. His aura's color was blue, often leaving trails of blue lights whenever he was running.
