Born in Fuzhou, Fujian but raised in Beijing, Wei Chin didn't have the happiest childhood at all. His mother died when he was very young, his father would best him for no reason and he was always bullied at school for being different from the other students. Because of the constant bullying at school and the beatings from his father, Wei Chin had become untrusting, a bit rude, cold and heartless whenever he was around people he didn't know at all. At the age of 14, Wei Chin becamea trainee at TH Entertainment, courtesy of his only cousin. 2 months later, he became a member of a 4 member boy group called DangerDanger, while his best friend was in a different group, as the leader, lead vocalist, main dancer and visual. Though he did hate being apart of the group and bore through all of the rumors about him, he decided to leave the company and audition for Marsala Entertainment, finally getting in on his third try. He has a Maltese puppy named Jun, Yorkshire Terrier puppy named Fu, an Akita puppy named Tu and a Chow Chow puppy named Yun.

Primarily known for his poor attitude and lack of compassion towards others, Wei Chin rarely shows off his kind and soft hearted side without reason. He doesn't like taking much and would rather stay away from people then be around them for long periods of time. He doesn't like talking to people he doesn't know unless they start talking to him first. Wei Chin isn't the type of person to turn down a request from others, prefers to be alone, has a sweet tooth and likes to make baked goods for himself and others.

Even though he acts cold and heartless around people he doesn't know, he has a hard time opening up to people and finds it hard to make friends. He acts confident when he is with others, hates it when people touch his hair and doesn't like it when people bring up his past with his old group and would rather keep everything to himself. He doesn't normally show his emotions around people and tends to be a bit blunt whenever he talks to others, even if he doesn't try to be. Wei Chin has a huge soft spot for dogs and becomes a different person when he is around them.
