BACKGROUND
Nate grew up in Glendale, Arizona with his mom and dad. He had a good childhood and was in bands all through out highschool. He loved singing and songwriting, but he thought he could never become the musician he wanted to be. He studied in law for a while, but then realized his calling was music. Just to have a fallback plan, Nate kept studying law, but also created his first widely known band, The Format
As time progressed, The Format became more and more popular and signed to a record label. Shortly after an album was released the band annoucned they would no longer be making music. To get himself back on his feet, Nate paired up with Andrew and Jack to perform as Fun. (stylized with a period). There was nothing better than being in a band again, for him. They released their album, 'Some Nights', which later on lead to the two hit songs 'We Are Young' and 'Some Nights'. Shortly after Nate broke off as a solo artist, performing with P!nk in 'Just Give Me A Reason'. Now Nate has his own soloist album, 'Grand Romantic', and is persuing music more visously than ever.
PERSONALITY
Nate loves the world and most who inhabit it, though it may not seem that way if you aren't poetic or sarcastic. Nate uses dry humor and sarcasm to give life that extra kick it needs. On the outside it may seem like he's insulting, mocking, or swinging at you, but really he's just having fun. The world is his playground and he takes everything as light-heartedly as possible.
Just because Nate sees everything in a good light, doesn't mean he's a good boy. Nate is somewhat of a junior alcoholic and smoker. When he's drunk, he usually says things in the exact opposite way of what he means, thinking it'll come off as a joke, but it doesn't. Because he's drunk. He's drunk on Whiskey, and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

NATE, NATE RUESS.
I am a singer and songwriter who happened to settle down in this strange little area. I won't bite, but I do sass. You can probably find me at the nearest bar or anywhere near Whiskey. Whiskey is my drug.
I use a lot of heavy sarcasm and dry humor, so if you are easily offended then you might not want to hang around me long. I apologize if my smoke gets in your face, just ask me to stop and I will. No harm, no foul. :)
