There was nothing in Yibo's childhood that would suggest that he would grow to become anything but the expected norm. Economically, his family was neither impoverish, nor living a life of indulgent, excessive luxury. The only child of his parents a decade into their marriage, his parents cared for him to a degree, but they were not emotionally involved with their son. The delicate structure the Wong family possessed allowed them to appear like any other family.
As a child, Yibo was not very sociable. Whereas other children interacted with one another greatly, Yibo preferred to analyze and study others. As he aged, his inability to fully integrate with others caused some issues - especially when it came to developing an emotional relationship. It was after completing his course in pre-medicine, Yibo was offered a position as a nurse for a private academy. He had accepted without real consideration for what the school taught, but like all things in life, whatever came his way he studied and deducted the cause-and-effect it would have on him.
