jungkook grew up in an unhealthy household. his mother was a prostitue that brought home men every night, ignoring the young boy and neglecting him to the fullest. his dad was an alcoholic and would come home every night so drunk, sometimes he couldn't even recognize his own wife. of course his father knew what his wife was doing but would drown himself in alcohol because of the sorrow; he loved her too much to divorce her. but because of the alcohol, jungkook was neglected even more. but as he got older, the more his father drank and the more men his mother brought home. his father ended up cracking when he turned 14 and that was the first time his father put a hand on him. but it didn't stop there; it occured every day. his drunken father took his rage and sorrow out on his 14 year old son, beating him until jungkook would fall unconscious. in order to survive, in order to escape, jungkook knew that enough was enough and finally stood up for himself. he managed to pack his things and run away; far away without even looking back. jungkook's life was full of neglect and negativity and fear and abuse. he was never taught what love felt like, even if it was simply having his mother smile at him or his father hug him. he was born and raised with emotionless parents who didn't care about him so because of that, jungkook learned to not care about himself; so he'd self harm. a lot.

PERSONALITY
jungkook's a punk. he's got several tattoos and some piercings here and there. he's practically screaming 'bad boy'. but in all truth, he's not. there's rumors about him smoking, him beating people up for no reason, him forcing nerds to do his homework, him partying every night, and him just being a straight-out . but jungkook's really not. he may wear black and have tattoos and piercings, he may barely speak and would always walk around with a poker face and ear buds in, but that doesn't mean he's a heartless bully. it's the opposite. jungkook's so fragile and vulnerable and sensitive that he's too scared to open up to someone, too scared to let someone in - not that anyone has tried. he's very caring and sweet, and once he's out of his shell he's so shy and timid. he puts on a rough exterior to hide his soft exterior; too afraid to trust in fear of everything.
