Zhang Yixing used to be well-off. He had always aspired to come into this club as a member rather than a waiter. But life likes playing games, unexpected things happen, and he’s forced to work rather than live the A life. Now a waiter as he is, he likes telling himself it’s better not being part of  anything at all.

 

He’s not too eager to please but he’s not too hostile either. He understands, albeit begrudgingly, that his line of work doesn’t really allow him much of a choice. 

 

In reality, he’s a major pushover but he doesn’t want anyone taking advantage of that. So he tries to cover it up with the pretense of aloofness. But anyone paying attention will surely see through that coverup—it’s so easy to manipilate Zhang Yixing.
