Bio: When Jongin was only six years old he was in a car accident that took the life of his parents and his older brother, he was barely alive when the ambulance arrived on the scene and he died on the way to the hospital. It took four and a half minutes to revive Jongin but he managed to survive that accident, however he was drastically changed as a result. When Jongin died and was brought back his soul was consequentially ripped in half, part of his soul returned to his body, but the other half of his soul was left to wander outside it. The wandering half of Jongin's soul became corrupted by a dark and twisted entity, over the years its resentment at its own situation grew and it became a doppelganger. Now Kai feeds off the negative emotions, thoughts, and intentions of others in order to grow stronger. He can influence the physical world around him in small ways, but his greatest power lies in emotional manipulation. All he needs is a single negative thought, one born of depression, anger, envy, even lust, and he can amplify it make it stronger and stronger until it consumes the person. He's driven several of Jongin's closest friends to suicide over the years and because of that Jongin has started closing himself off from the world.
Jongin was gifted with the second sight, the ability to see the spirit world, after he died. He knows about Kai, he knows to some degree what Kai is and that he is the one responsible for the bad things that happen to him and to the people around him. He knows, intrinsically that Kai is a part of himself, a darker malicious part that is filled with hatred and possesses no ability to forgive. He has known Kai since he was six years old, and Kai has been his only protector from the evil of the spirit world. There is no love lost between the two halves of their soul though, Kai protects Jongin because Jongin is his only conduit. Without Jongin he is powerless, he cannot walk in the human world, and he cannot interact with it. Kai needs Jongin, and alternately Jongin needs Kai. If either one is without the other they will slowly wither away and die. Physically Kai cannot move far from Jongin, he is bound to wherever Jongin is, they share thoughts and emotions and can see through each other's eyes whenever the whim strikes them. Kai can possess Jongin's body while Jongin is unconscious, but alternately Jongin is left to wander the spirit world much like astral projection durning that time. Without using Jongin's body Kai can materialize in a physical form in the living world, but only for a short amount of time.
