Jongin was born and raised on Naboo, but his father (an owner of a freight shipping company) had a delivery to make on Endor that would take a while, so he opted to take his son along. Jongin was never all that close to his mom to begin with so he was all too eager to agree. The young boy was worried though. He could tell something was different with his father as of late. It didn't take long to realize what exactly was going on. Jongin's father had fallen to the dark side and had recieved some sith training and two lightsabers. One was his own and the other he handed down to Jongin. He'd made such a big mistake going to a different planet with his father and knowing he had to flee, Jongin did just that. Something about the lightsaber though, he felt like he HAD to keep it. After all, it was the last gift from his father.
Because of the whole situation, Jongin stowed away on a ship that had landed next to his father's. He hadn't a clue where he was going, but he was glad to just escape. That's when he met Luhan, the man that had piloted the ship and got him his freedom. He was quick to explain EVERYTHING, being a young scared 5 year old but he just couldn't go back. Luhan talked him into going to the jedi academy and beginning to learn how to control the light side of the force. Soon enough, he was Luhan's padawan and over time the grew to be quite the team.
At 17, he became a jedi, but still frequently teamed up with Luhan. To this day, he still kept the red light saber from his father. He couldn't help but find it more comfortable since it was a shorter lightsaber, and the council had given him a longer lightsaber in order to "humble" him since he was too fast and hectic for their tastes. It took a while to get the courage to ask Luhan for help with the shortened red lightsaber as well, but once he did and Luhan gave in, Jongin felt the feelings beginning to bloom. It was forbidden and he knew it, but he couldn't help but fall for the man he'd relied on most of his life. That being said, he tried his best to not give into such temptations, but his feelings and emotions soon became known. The one that happened to stand out the most was fear. He couldn't help but fear losing Luhan no matter what he did now. If he acted, he could lose him, if he didn't, there was even more of a chance of losing him.

Jongin tends to be rather haphazard in all honesty. He's most definitely a wild card or jack of all trades when it comes to fighting. He tries his best to follow teachings and not be mislead by his emotions, but one thing he's most definitely guilty of is following his heart. Jongin can't help but be stubborn and headstrong, yet he passed every test since it wasn't AS bad back then but it seemed to have gotten worse over the years, especially as the feelings for his favorite master continued to bloom. Either way, he tries his best to be a happy go lucky person and loves to be calm and well behaved when he's in front of any mentors.

Timeline:
5 y.o. - met Luhan and went from Endor to Coruscant by stowing away on Luhan's ship
6-16 y.o. - intense training since he came late to the party when it came to discovering he could use the force, thankfully he was able to catch up and excel rather quickly
17 y.o. - took trials early thanks to Luhan's persuasion with the council and his quick learning/wit
18-19 y.o. - jedi (still training but now curious and wanting to learn all that he can... including how to use his true speed and skills with a shorter lightsaber thus why he trained with his father's saber in secret until he asked Luhan for help)
20-21/current times - jedi knight (frequently goes on missions with Luhan once again thanks to Luhan's persuasion and everyone simply knowing of their familiarity, trust, and efficient teamwork... even though it's been a little more noticable that Jongin has been wavering as of late)

I lost the chance to have you before I even knew you. I'd ask you to come to me, but I know you cannot. You'd worked so hard to achieve your dreams that I know I could never ask you to give them up for me, so I made your dreams my own. I wanted to still be yours even though I wasn't. I worked and strived to be better, trying to convince myself it wasn't for you... and it worked for a while. But love is a funny thing isn't it? It's the biggest emotion that can't be controlled since it's human nature to want someone. That... and fear... fear that I could lose you always lingers in the back of my mind now. For that, master, I'm sorry.


(fact: they're not together and as long as they're on the light side of the force, they never will be because Luhan is a master on the Jedi council and Jongin is probably still his padawan in Luhan's eyes /cough/ so Jongin thinks /cough/)
