Kyung has a dark history full of selfish desires and unholy actions that caused him to become what he is today. when he was alive he was the son of a very rich household. the mansion they owned was filled with hundreds of workers, and although the rest of the family tolerated them, kyung treated them like slaves. his attitude towards the workers was so bad rumors had started to spread about him whipping them and working them literally down to the bone. however, his reign of terror came to an end at just nineteen years of age when he mysteriously died one night in his bedroom. kyung can't remember how he died, he can only remember the pain. after his death, he became a jikininki, the spirit of a selfish and greedy person who has passed on. now he walks the earth both half alive and half dead, cursed to eat the flesh of human corpses because of his horrible actions in the past. this is why he's obtained a job as a grave watcher, making it much easier to feed as he lives in the actual graveyard. unlike other evil spirits, kyung has come to hate himself like many other jikininki. he doesn't what to be what he is, nor does he want to keep desecrating graves just to survive. kyung must do what he has died to do though, and repent for his sins.

kyung generally comes off as very laid-back and casual although inside he is anything but. he gets surprised very easily as he's naturally jumpy and has a bad habit of his lips every so often. when people offer him food he usually declines, saying he just doesn't eat much. in reality, food has become all but tasteless to him and he can't bring himself to stomach it. the only thing he can eat is what he's been cursed to (dead bodies). although he was a horrible person in the past, he's turned into a very kind person in his death. kyung still looks nineteen as it was the age he died, but in reality he is now twenty three years of age. technically kyung is a demon, but he much prefers the term spirit as he wants to completely shed his past lifestyle. as stated before, unlike most spirits/demons kyung is stuck in a constant state of self-hatred and self-loathing. he's going to need someone to show him he's more than just a ghost to set him back on track.
