Background: 

Minwoo always tried to be a good boy for his mother, but after the death of his father, the boy only watched how his mother started to stare at the walls with a blank look on her face. The child didn't find the need to question the needle that would stick out from his mother's arm. Around the age of ten, his mother remarried and brought in her new boyfriend. Despite not liking him, Minwoo still tried to please his mother so he made sure to be friend to the intruder. On his fourteenth birthday, Minwoo's mother had to work so it was only him and his step-father for the night. Despite the fact that he tried to be a good boy, Minwoo clawed and scratched at his mother's husband who had just walked into the shower with him and tried to touch him in inappropriate places. That only resulted in punishment, which the old man had threatened to tell the Minwoo's mother that her son tried to force himself onto her husband, unlike the true story. Minwoo put up with his step-father assaulting him for years, and finally one day he snapped. He was chopping vegetables for dinner when the man tried to touch him, while the boy's mother was in the other room! Without even realizing it, Minwoo started screaming and stabbed his step-father into the chest; and even that wasn't enough. Minwoo doesn't know how many times it took for him to calm down, but when he finally realized what he had done, the boy didn't regret it; instead he just stared into his mother's eyes with a smirk on his face.
