growing up as an only child along with her parents' busy schedules, it was only normal for shannon to feel lonely at certain times and feeling pressured by her parent's high expectations. she was forced to become an artist. following her parent's wish, shannon became a singer even though she grants her parents' wish half-heartedly, shannon still tries her best to like her job and what she is doing, but she just can't seem to fit in the entertainment industry and finds herself left out at times. there is only one reason which makes her dedicated and fall into the entertainment world, her mother. hoping that she can escape the reality, she wishes to live a normal life just like many other teenage girls.
however, things never go easy for shannon. along with her strict manager's annoying lectures and tiring soundchecks, she often finds herself crying in the middle of the night, or sometimes cursing while heading back to her penthouse in a drunk state due to excessive alcohol that she's been taking in oreder to relieve strss, only making her loyal maid who's been working with her for as long as she can remember, worried about her. most people know her as a strong person who always appreciate everything in life, but the thing about her that people rarely notice is that she's afraid to trust people and due to this, she keeps a lot of things and secrets to herself.
she can never forget the incident that happened when she was 12. she lost her best friend, the one who she can run to every night, the one she can share secrets with, the one that she spens most of her time with, her mother. she remembers that her mother promised that she'll come back right after filming from new york, but after days, weeks, months, and finally years of waiting, her mother never came back. 3 days after she turned 12, she came back home from school only to be informed of her mother's death and since then, she lost hope.
when she was 15, her father remarried to an annoying woman who she refers to as a "" that can never replace her mother. after her father remarried, she rarely meets him and even if they do, it was only very brief and the topics are mostly about her father's career or about her monthly allowances, nothing more than that. having no one to trust, she can only rely on drugs as she think that it's the only temporary solution to relief her stress. she believes that the only reason for her to be alive up to this day is that she believes that one day, someone special who she can trust will come and change her life.
