Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible.
Strength of character means the ability to overcome resentment against others, to hide hurt feelings, and to forgive quickly. Your hopes, dreams and aspirations are legitimate. They are trying to take you airborne, above the clouds, above the storms, if you only let them. Don't be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality. If you can dream it, you can make it so. The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance but live right in it. Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts.
