with bright hazel brown eyes that seemed to never miss any detail out, photogenic memory that never fails her and a tiny dimple constantly dancing in the corner of her lips, natalie has always prided herself on being the sharpest block of wood in the street. having grown up in a well-known family in one of the biggest clans in alicante, natalie has always had everything she wanted, everything she needed, in the palm of her hands. as she pored herself over countless books and spells, broadening her knowledge on the world as her imagination grew constantly and her dreams grew bigger, natalie passed on love and basically all social contact for what she thought was the only thing important in her world - being the best when it came to studies. because when you're the best at studies, you'll be the best at everything, right? that was the assumption she made - and sadly, she was wrong. at the age of twenty one, natalie set off to become the head of the clan her dad was currently head of- or create a new one on her own secretly, without him ever finding out. it was then that she realized she barely knew anyone- and whenever she needed help, there was no one to ask. when she fell, there was no one to catch her. there was no one else- just her and her hard-backed books that, although took up most of her time and kept her company, wasn't much help when it came to giving advice and- being friends. for a while- natalie disappeared. no one could find her- it was as if she just- dropped off the face of world for two whole months. her dad was horrified- but after a while everyone gave up the search for her- it was fruitless anyway, and there was much training to focus on.

two months after natalie's disappearance, a new girl with bright red hair and eyes that seemed to be almost the same as natalie's arrived in the grand city of alicante- except that this time, her eyes seemed so.. lacklustre, so dull, so lifeless. slowly, she rose to the top of the rankings easily, her competitive spirit and pure stubbornness willing her out of every match without much difficulty. natalie was gone- and replaced with cat.

Name: Phantasma (most people just call him Phantom though)

Description: Phantom had always been a little different from most people growing up. That much everyone had realized around him, but it wasn't anything completely out of the ordinary. In fact, they didn't question him, they labeled it as schizophrenia, when in reality it wasn't. At first he was placed in a mental facility within the lowest level. It wasn't the screaming or the insane ramblings of other patients that got to him, it was the doctors. Force feeding him food, drugs, injections. Those were the things that made him really insane. It's kind of funny, being insane, because when you see your family the next time you can't seem to recognize them although you know who they are. Soon he was moved farther up the levels of the asylum for becoming loud and violent. In the end, his parents finally pulled him out, only to push him into the hands of his aunt and uncle (not even knowing where they lived). His aunt and uncle actually lived in Alicante, deciding that they would take him in since they already knew he might belong there for some reason. As it turns out, he didn't have any powers, but his new guardians continued to let him say. Why return a schizophrenic to the people who wanted to give him away? That question was answered the day he had another one of his episodes and murdered his aunt and uncle. Since he has an unstable mind, instead of being locked up he was put on a watch of sorts. He can live alone (actually functioning very well by himself) but is watched 24/7. (+more that's like a brief description ^^; OTL)

He and his parents had been captured as prisoners once their town had been ransacked, held for the pure sport of 'pleasurable' torture. And it was only fitting then that they be destroyed right in front of the boy, only for something to stir in him. Though Azrael already knew of his birth-held 'difference', the scope of it was released that day in the form of blood-seeking magic. He killed his assaultants with barely a strand of effort, but this new-found discovery of just what he was and what he could do only served to warp him a bit. And for decades he traveled, his aging stunted by the magic coursing through his veins... Yet... He was incomplete. For he was literally a walking timebomb, a danger to himself and to others. A living hex that couldn't understand the power that lie in his fingertips or in the cards he could create. Az just didn't know... And so he'd spent those years- unaging yet maturing- in hopes of finding a teacher... or better yet, a home.
