they drift like lazy cloud cover, cumulus desire in the backdrop of an ever-changing cityscape. to some, they're heathens. to others, street vermin. a rowdy group of vagabonds just making their way across the span of still-life convenience. they don't give a damn for your morals or comforts, so long as they find what they're looking for. amidst the rose gold bangles and earthen bare feet, you'll find a family all their own.
'fernweh', inspired by mamamoo's "starry night", is rpr's own gypsy au. join this band of misfits as they traverse the world and find adventure within their own mayhem. with hands clasped tight, they'll face authorities who disagree with their "public disturbances" and illegal activity. they'll dodge ruffians who wish to pick them off for an easy steal. and most importantly... they'll flee from the "dwellers". ordinary people like you and me who have lives and roots. people who fall in love and are mystified by these wandering enigmas. people who would do anything to sever that path and tie you down to them.
but that's just not how this little family works.

we need little bits of everyone here to make this work! ;u; to keep things easy, everyone here is a gypsy, but your story is up to you. within this flighty family, we'll have firebreathers, tamborine-players, street dancers, fortune-tellers... whatever gets you by, whether it's real and honest or not. choose to be a true-blue gypsy, or even a traitor looking to rat the fam out for a quick buck from the police.
everyone here will have a bounty on their head, and the more active you are, the higher that bounty will be. earn 'tips' from the streets each week by posting to perform (read the how-to). roll the dice in the 'collections room' to see what lucky item you were able to pillage that day.
though we're all officially one "family", feel free to split off into factions! we'll organize mini group plots with a team leader to oversee and keep everyone close and involved. check our "mission" page each week to find a new goal. some will be individual and will reward you personally. others will be group-wide, even if it means temporarily joining one (don't be afraid to hop around!).
our location will change every couple of weeks, and with it, the theme... so stay tuned for plenty of redecorating. e u e

rule 1 please be sure to favorite the roleplay! it's mandatory upon joining.
rule 2 reservations are 24 hours long. need an extension? just ask!
rule 3 1st character comes free! 2nd character costs an upvote. you can get a 3rd if you make an advertising blog.
rule 4 leaving? pm the main admin (we delete comments). need a break? hit up this room!
rule 5 this rp is plot-based, so ic drama is encouraged. all themes accept and murder are allowed in public rooms. please keep the chatroom free of ual content.
rule 6 crack will be discouraged. ooc drama will not be tolerated under any means. all admins uphold the right to remove you without warning if we see it happen even once.
rule 7 we allow face claims of all ages as this is a family-based roleplay, but please don't promote ia.
rule 8 this roleplay is event-based, which means a lot will be going on to stitch up your muses and move the story along! events are optional (since so many people are busy), but please at least be a little active in rooms!!!
