MKR Enntertainment has been a fore runner in the entertainment business since the early 2000's with groups who were popular due primarly due to the talent the members had. the company was known for having a lot of talent under its belt. Even when looks of an idol were becoming more and more important to a consumer, Minkyun, the ceo, went against the fans for many years. He wanted to show that looks didn't matter for an idol. He cared more about their talent and wanted them to just be themselves. He encouraged his idols to who they wanted to be within reason.
Golden Canary Music is sub label for MKR Entertainment in China. People were hesitant about the venture. He payed them no mind as he wasn't the one who was going to run it. he chose a soloist who goes by as Jie to run the company. This announcement allowed Chinese and Thai trainees to have a space to themselves to train. In 2010, Golden Canary debuted its first male duo called vibe.
