ドキドキ, also known as Doki Doki, is a matchmaking au set on Doki Island, an island known for heart throbbing new beginnings. Whether it's a new career, a new outlook on life, or a new relationship with the strangers around you, Doki Island will bring it to you.
The matchmaking mechanic of this roleplay is different from others because you, in character, are not aware that you're being matchmade. These matches are made by fate. Coincidences will bring you and a potential friend or lover together. And not just one.
If you are here to make friends, you're in luck! Matchmaking between friends are first priority and (I'm predicting) the most popular option here! If the algorithm sees fit, you may become very popular.
If you are here to find a future partner or a committed relationship, you will be second priority to friend matching. Matchmaking between future committed partners is the hardest to do, but the most rewarding. People who tend to be matched romantically tend to stick around longer and give more effort to being attentive and caring towrd their other half.
If you are here to find a booty call, congratulations! Well, actually, first I have to put out a disclaimer that this is NOT a roleplay. It would not make as effective of an April Fool's joke if I tagged this as rated. However, if you can keep it in your pants and fool around in mature rated rooms, walls, and pms, you're in absolute luck here. Matchmaking between booty calls is one of the easier things to do. If you're down to smash, you're down to go all the way, even if it's just once. 2) Please be civil with one another. You can be toxic IC, but when it comes to OOC matters, pretend you like each other for the sake of people who don't care about your problems.
3) Move-in couples are perfectly fine. There are no dating bans, since it's a matchmaking rp and your mistakes are yours to make.
4) First characters require a favorite. Second characters require an upvote and a blog post advertising this rp. A third character requires 100 pts on both characters plus another blog post. If you try to spam and claim three straight female characters right off the bat, all wanting relationships, please remember that straight men are rare and you may still end up alone despite your efforts to mate.
5) Please comment below to reserve a character. Asian faceclaims only, for now. Please be respectful and not claim faces that shouldn't be claimed.
6) Please do the matchmaking application linked here to be accepted. The password is summarizing the about in as few words as possible.
7) Inactivity is set to two weeks. If you don't have more than 50 pts within one week, I will literally fight you.
