Know Your Captains before you decide

Himchan

Himchan wasn't born a pirate or even a seaman. He was a regular old farm boy. When he was young and on one of his occasional visits to town, a pirate raid came though. The poor kid watched as his own dad died before him and seconds later he was kidnapped and forced to be a part of the crew that slaughtered his own parent. Himchan started out a cabin boy but grew used to the way of the pirate life over the years. Even though he was a major klutz with the ropes and sails, he became skilled with a sword. That's how he impressed the captain and eventually became his first mate. One day the captain told him how his beloved ship, the Rum Runner, became passed down to him. The captain had done the same thing as Himchan, showed skill, courage, and moved up the ranks, but his captain asked for a fair fight to the death for the ship. Himchan's captain then asked the same of him. Even though he loved the captain now and thought of him as another father, he agreed, knowing it was his captain's true wish. Thus through a rough fight and plenty of scars earned, the ship became his and he was free to roam the seas as he pleased.

Minki (Ren)

Whatch your back. Captain Ren is coming through. When people see Ren for the first time, they see this cute guy with a beautiful smile. But what they don't see, is the reason why some people are terribly afraid of him. Ren was raised in the life of a pirate. He probably stole more than what your life is worth. His father was one of the lowest ranks on the ship and when he brought Ren aboard, the captain of that ship made him work harder and treated him like a slave, just to shame him in front of his own son. Ren didn't know it at the time, but he found out soon after when the captain of the ship murdered his father in cold blood with a smile on his face. From that day, Ren had a goal; to surpass the captain and take over. And he achieved that goal, and at a surprisingly young age. Half of the old crew died an embarrassing death just because Ren didn't like them or their attitude. The rest of the crew continued to live in fear until they couldn't take it anymore and left. Ren wants a new crew though. He couldn't stand looking at the crew that just sat back as they watched his father die. So he came back to port for a while to look for new crew members. If you can get close enough to him, he'll actually show you more than the norm. He'll even be what some people consider to be "nice". Oh, and watch your back if you call him Minki. That name is reserved for those close enough to his heart, that he doesn't want to kill them. Don't be fooled by his cute girly face. He'll bend you over and you until you pass out.
