@♀08 - ryuugazaki izumi Jun stiffened, realizing that the other -- a female, from the high-pitched and demanding voice -- had sensed him, a feat that was almost impossible with how cleverly hidden he was behind the shrubbery. Not wanting to antagonize the other, he coughed, putting his arms up in the air and slowly coming out from behind the leaves to reveal himself. Hopefully, this young woman would be daft enough to let him leave without trying to kill him, and then perhaps later he'd thank her with a merciful stab to the carotid artery.

"Hey there," he greeted, trying to appear as amiable as possible. He was tired; he didn't need a physical brawl on top of it. Just in case, however, he shifted his stance subtly, feeling the hidden makeshift spear of a branch press snugly against his side, through the layers of clothing. "Uh, what are you doing here?"

Realizing that perhaps the female student was scavenging for food just as he was, he extended a finger to point in some vague direction behind the girl, though his eyes were directly trained on her. Despite the other's harmless appearance, something felt off. "You know, um, if you're searching for food, I think that there was a shack a few meters back. You could, you know, go looking in that direction and let me go? We're both tired, and it's almost dusk, so..."

Hopefully, his attempts to sound helpful would drive the other off from the fruit behind him. Edible items were scarce as it was, and the idea of sharing didn't exactly appeal to him.

She recalled the event, how bloody, how shattered she was as she found out it was a mouse, dangerously similar to her owns from her childhood. Yet she knew her old pet when it died. That’s why it felt less disturbing when she was forced to rip out the organs of this look alike of a creature with her only teeth.



She remembered the lessons, sneak, no breath, focusing on the object as it feels safe. The safer it feels the easier it is to kill it off smoothly. That is one of the few lessons in life she knew she would need after her mother. She left a small sigh as she wandered aimlessly around in order to find food. She glanced up, nothing was wrong in inspecting some trees right? She thought before climbing up one of them, stretching her warm further and further as she could smell its nice odor as she was right.

There it was, a patch of fruit nearby this area. Which was perfect! Maybe too ideal? She moved the orbs, left to right, in order to notice, smell, the intruder. She could sense its breathing nearby, as her sensitive way of hearing were sometimes a good advantage as herself.

“Who`s there” she snarled, as she nervewrecking search of an intruder. She could smell its odor, it has be some sort of stinking male, she thought as she somehow couldn´t understand why she couldn`t find him yet. Maybe she already knew where he was, but.. She just didn`t wanted bothering teasing him?

Wiping the sweat trickling down the side of his face, the young man heaved a sigh, the humid air combined with exertion of energy making his outer layers of clothing stick to the surface of his skin. Usually, extra layers were a huge help, especially in dodging attacks as well as keeping warm during the nights without the use of fire (no, fire will get you killed; too easy to have you spotted with the bright light), but as of recently, extra layers were a nuisance. He finally decided to shed his long-sleeved jacket and tie it to his waist when he uncomfortably felt as though there was a sauna inside of his coat, and was immediately graced with fresh air flowing against his arms and neck. Yes, this was ideal.

Jun didn't want to go out today, not in this temperature, but he had finally ran out of canned foods and whatever he could scavenge, so he was forced to either scour for consumable items or perish from starvation. Waiting for the day after wasn't any better; he could see dark clouds beginning to form, and judging from the size of the clouds, there would be a downpour tonight and all through tomorrow. Not eating food for a few days didn't exactly equate to easygoing living in his books.

He finally climbed up to the apex of the road, lightly panting from the physical activity, and used the back of his hand to wipe his forehead clean of the dampness covering it. He remembered, the first day they'd all arrived, that there were patches of wild fruit here, harmless enough, he discovered, when he observed more than a few animals devouring the fruit by the bunches and not falling dead, and these patches contributed to the reason why he was still alive. Thankfully enough, no one else seemed to have discovered the fruit, which were cleverly hidden by nature under some shrubbery, and they were the reason he climbed up to the cliff in the first place.

Crouching near the area where he had vaguely remembered the area to be, the student heard some rustling, and turned to the source with a sharp alertness. Quickly, he darted behind a low-hanging branch of a tree, nimble enough to not make any sounds in doing so, and watched as the intruder came into view.
