@★ Park Chanyeol The way Chanyeol talked gave her goosebumps for reasons unknown to her. Maybe because she didn't expect him that- awkward around her? She knew that sometimes her shyness was mistaken for arrogance, but now, with Chanyeol around, she for the first time wondered what others really thought and felt when being around her. She took her horse out of the box, its beautiful black fur glowing in the sunlight, and smiled at Chanyeol who just did the same. She sat down on top of it and chuckled. “Let's ride them!” She suggested, turning the horse so that she could face Chanyeol, who seemed to be just as confused as she was. “Even though I just rode Nyx, I don't think she'd mind another round. Let's gallop through the forests! I'll show you my favorite, little water place, shall I?” She gave him a wide grin and anxiously left the horse stable, making sure not to bring too much space between Chanyeol and her.
“Even though we met so many times, it's like I don't know you. Tell me something about yourself, Chanyeol. What do you like, what do you dislike, what are your greatest fears in live?” She asked him as they were right next to each other, riding their horses through the corn fields.
@♕ Princess Mina Expect the unexpected. Chanyeol quite believed that saying, heck, he totally expects those things coming at him but this-- Mina, the suspicious and skeptical princess, taking the initiative to make things better between them-- was something else. It was another level of unexpected thing and it did terrified him but in a good way. He was hesitant, even, uncertain to consider the proposall(blame all his past experience with her) as possible failures flashed at the back of his mind like a movie, scaring the _____ out of him. In the worst scenario, he'd probably end up saying something playfully and it'd hurt the fragile heart of princess and the next moment he'd be hanging from a tree upside down as punishment, causing him to wince internally. Calm down, yeol. You're a man. With his impromptu pep talk, chanyeol took in a barely noticeable intake of breath before his facial muscles stretched into a full fledged wide grin, his right eye twitching a little as well. "I'd love to. " He breathed out, pausing for a while, his hand reaching up to scratch the crook of his nape sheepishly. "and.. You don't have to feel sorry for anything... Just forget about the past." He whispered softly but he was sure, she heard him clearly. it took more than courage to say something like that & it's embarrassing enough cause it seemed like Mina has more balls than he had. Stupid. he cursed himself inside his for even thinking something so weird like that. "Uhrm... So shall we? I'll get the horse I usually pick up.. So... Yeah..okay.." chanyeol blabbered out, his hands doing weird gestures as he talked before he slowly walked back to the stable to get the horse with her walking beside her but there's an amount of distance in between them and chanyeol dared not to get close. After he got the horse- a midnight black one(his with black in general)- he walked back to the her. "Are you going to ride or walk?"
@★ Channing Tatum Yifan nodded his head towards his guard as he just smiled a bit before sighing softly as he laid down against his horse as they walked, his hands guided along his horse's neck softly as a small smile appeared on his lips as he petted his horse before turning his face to look at his guard. "So.. How's being a guard? Is it hard?" He nodded his head towards him, before laying his head down against his horse's neck.
@★ Park Chanyeol Mina was silently listening to the male's words, not knowing what to think of them. On one hand, he did sound as though he was up for good, but on the other hand, there still was this feeling in her stomach that told her to just keep away from him, to wait for him to go home again and hopefully never to return. She knew she was probably doing him wrong, and knew that it was her being stupid and insecure, but she couldn't help it. Even though she hadn't always been that way, she couldn't change anymore. She, Mina, was the shy and insecure, most unknown part of the royal family, and she never bragged about it. Why was it that now she could put on some arrogance and not feel so guilty about turning Chanyeol down over and over again?
She sighed at his greeting. He sounded just as uncomfortable as she was feeling. She bit her lower lip, curious as to what he had to say to her. She was waiting for him to tell her how immature she was behaving, how she should at least give him a chance- they'd had plenty of conversations like that. But none of what she expected happened. Instead, Chanyeol seemed uncomfortable, yes, almost insecure about her being there. A frown formed on her forehead, and her hand stopped grooming the horse. At his question, Mina's mouth dropped open, but before she had the chance to reply, Chanyeol his heels and rushed away. Startled, the girl stood there for a moment, then hurriedly threw her gloves into a corner and ran after him, feeling guilty and bad. “Chanyeol, wait.” She called, reaching the boy just outside the stable. “Look, I'm sorry, I don't know why I'm being so mean. Let's just...” She looked at him, unsure of what to suggest. Be friends? Mina knew she couldn't do that just yet. For somebody to be her friend, it took her months to warm up to. However, she couldn't just end the sentences like this. She cleared . “Do you want to go for a ride?” She asked, her voice being low and quiet again, and she suppressed the urge to hide behind a tree. “Kai hadn't taken his horse for a ride in months, I bet it would be thankful if you would...” It took her some courage to say that, and strength not to just tell him off, but she had decided to give him a chance. At least one.
@♕ Prince Yifan Channing wasn't used to the Princes' presence. He usually was positioned in the palace, not as a personal guard. But that didn't make the Job any less dangerous- especially not with so many surprise attacks in the past weeks. The king wasn't particularly in a good mod, and Channing could understand it. Many guards had been injured, one or two were even dead. He did understand the Prince's wish to ride his horse, though. All of them tried to live as normal as possible in between the mess. When the Prince talked to him, Channing flashed a smile, and nodded a little. “I am just worried about your safety, your majesty.” He told him, but was eager to look a little less bothered. After all, he did not want to make the Prince uncomfortable around him.
@★ Channing Tatum Kris decided that today was the day where he got to ride his horse that he seen everyday but never brought it out, so no one has really seen what he looks like but Yifan knew the horse had attitude because it never liked being around other horses or people unless he was there. He wanted to go along but he had to have a guard come along which made him mad, he hated going out with a guard due to his personality. He rather be alone then have company so later that afternoon they had walked to the stall before getting their horses and riding in the chilly winter day, it was pretty nice to Kris. Turning his face to look at his guard which was Channing. "You do know Channing, you don't have to be so serious." Kris gave the other a rare smile before turning his head to look at the road ahead.
@♕Princess Mina it was around four or five in the evening seeing the sun just started to set eventually, painting the pale blue sky with shades of orange-ish yeollw and red and bit of white clouds scattered here and there. The weather was nice, not too hot nor chill and perfect for a stroll at the river or the fields at the outskirt of the main city. And so he decided to take a visit to the stable and grab a horse for the ride but what he didn't expect was to walk upon the princess as well as his distant cousin with who he never ever gets along. It'd be an underestimate if he said he disliked the other or liked the other. It's been somewhere in between the line or so he thought. He was quite surprised, his eyes widened for the fraction of the moment before he got his self back and attempted- note, he attempted. successful or not he had no clue to that- to be unaware of her presence and be more cautious and be an awkward duck and create an unpleasant silence and he hates it more than anything. He doesn't know why he can't communicate with her he does with her siblings and this thought had him driven to depression at one pont of his life when he was too young and naive not now tho. Now he just accepts the truth like an adult- some people are not meant to be friends. Yup. That's what he concludes through out years of awkwardness and nerve wrecking silence whenever they're alone with each other. His pace slowed down a little, the pad of his fingers itching for some unknown reason and sighed inwardly, cursing himself for being too cautious.
"Uhrmn...Good evening, princess Mina." He let out in a soft voice which caused him to cringe cause damn, his voice too deep & rough to be soft & low and it sounded like he was here to kidnap the princess. Tho he never let his true emotions on his face and flashed a wide smile, the corner of his mouth curved upward(out of habit), giving up a false image of a smile akin to a smirk which he never intended to. He can do anything except getting rid of his infamous 'smile. "I didn't expect to be here." And there goes the awkward situation he mentioned earlier. It's not that he wants this but he doesn't know how to be around the princess. One, she's too suspicious or least around him. Two, she looks like as if she despise his actions and rather not have any sort of skin to skin contact(no pun intended) and chanyeol lives on skin ship. Quite a lot to an extreme level. He groaned mentally, ready to walk away but willed himself to stay. Least he could try. Try is the key word, chanyeol, his mother would always say whenever little chanyeol got teased cause he wasn't good at studies like other elites. Don't get back to past, Chanyeol. Focus. "So are...you..mhn... up for a ride or Judy visiting? You don't have to answer. I'll just...go. yeah. Pleasure to meet you." And the word try failed, miserably. He couldn't even keep up a simple conversation with her let alone being with her for more than thirty, no, fifteen minutes. But he just couldn't live like that without taking her acknowledgement of his leave unless she ignores her for good sixty seconds. damn it. Why its so HARD!!
@♕ Prince Yifan Channing had started working early that day, but still wasn't ready when afternoon came. Even though he could already feel his limbs burning because of work, he kept a straight face and his guard up when he accompanied the Prince to the stables. He wanted to go for a ride, but of course he couldn't without a guard. It was way too risky in the king's eyes- and since Channing was one of the best guards the palace could provide, it was him who was chosen to accompany Prince Yifan. He was silently walking behind the Prince, and even when they were sitting on the horses, he kept his distance, and every now and then made sure it was just them on the roads down to the town. It was a chilly winter day, and it smelled like snow already, but all that didn't make Channing forget his job- Which was to bring the Prince home safely.
It wasn't exactly that she disliked visitors, but she didn't like them, either; especially not when one of them was Park Chanyeol. She didn't know what it was that made her dislike him, for all her siblings were so happy about his presence. Krystal was even bubblier and happier with him around, and Yifan and Kai changed from those Ice-Princes to friendly and nice boys, that did everything normal boys would do- as long as Chanyeol went along. All in all, everybody seemed happier and content. At first she'd thought they were that way because they liked the difference- with visitors, the palace didn't seem so dull anymore. But they weren't the same way when other visitors from other kingdoms came. It was Chanyeol who made the difference. And it was just her who couldn't get herself to spend time with him- and that even though she hadn't even given him the chance to prove he was completely different from what she thought.
She was standing in the stable, she'd taken her horse Nyx out for a ride and was now grooming it, yet was far, far away with her thoughts. The beautiful black animal was nibbling on some carrots the girl had brought, and was enjoying the brush on its back, while Mina was mourning about Chanyeol's presence.
Suddenly, the horse tensed, and if it hadn't been for the girl to be so deep in thoughts she would have noticed the boy entering the stable, and coming directly towards the box she was in. He was already standing in front of it when Mina came back to reality. She looked at him for a moment of shock, but then turned her back on him and flipped her hair, eager to ignore him, yet feeling a little guilty for being so mean. There was a long while of silence, in which Mina started to feel uncomfortable, and so she turned around, looked at him, and sighed. “What is it, Chanyeol?” She asked, and she would've said more, about him losing his way or something, but she couldn't, even if she wanted. Because she just wasn't the type of girls to way something like that.
