Things were certainly going to be interesting if he was anywhere near completing his project. Bom wondered if he knew just what kind of task he was undertaking as she watched him walk away before turning back to the rest of the fans. Needless to say her mind was elsewhere for the rest of her scheduled time but no one even seemed to notice,

When all was said and done she headed up to her room and took a deep breath before the excitement took her. In a matter of minutes she changed in her favorite flannel pajamas for comfort and dragged all of her research to the bed. Papers, laptops, and tablets were strewn around her as she set herself back to work. It's not like she knew when that mystery guy would show up so she decided to take whatever time she could for herself, which meant testing and tweaking her programs.

@∆ lee hongbin There was something about his demeanor that told her that whatever it was he was working on he wanted to keep it a secret. That meant it was proprietary, outright illegal or society itself had a problem with it. Bom had met her fair share of complete psychos on these little outings and it out her guard up slightly. There was no telling what kinds of crazy stuff a person was into, especially a stranger. If there was any sign he wanted to harvest her brain or something like that she was prepared to mace him in the face.

The dark-haired woman chewed the inside of her cheek thoughtfully as she listened to him. Her eyebrows knit together in concern at the mention of the word robot and she quickly covered his mouth. "I don't know how much I can help you, it's still not perfected yet but we can't talk about that here." She whispered back to him and then reached down to scribble her room number under her name in the book. "We will figure out the details later, when it is safe."

@∆ lee hongbin From the other side of a white plastic folding table Bom smiled, shook hands, and signed a few things people had brought to her. Here and there she would answer a question but for the most part it seemed not many understood her work or it's difficulty. They were there for college credits, because they loved her dating simulation games, or mild curiosity. If only there was something there to make her journey and annoyance worthwhile.

As if in response to her inner wish a young man stood before her, book in hand, and asked for her help. "You need me for something?" She asked, arching an eyebrow in interest as she pulled the cap off of her marker and signed her name on the inside book cover. "What exactly are you working on?"

@∆ lee hongbin The screen behind her flashed with the computer generated image of a human face that was reacting to a series of commands she put in. At first she showed her audience how it handled surprise, the way her program shifted naturally from the initial shock to joy as it took in what she had written as a surprise party. Then she changed the setting to a haunted house and watched as it seamlessly affected worry, caution, and building fear.

These were tests she had run hundreds if not thousands of times. Cataloging and mapping human behavior and responses to stimuli to some kind of programmable code had not been easy and she still wasn't done. The computing power for such intricate work was astounding in itself and it made her wonder just how a brain could do it all naturally.

A collection of 'oohs' and 'ahs' accompanied each demonstration but Bom was not as impressed. She didn't even want to be there, she would rather have been in her lab working on perfecting it but she couldn't. The university that had funded her research liked parading her around like it was their achievement and not hers and she had to put up with it. Bom sure as hell didn't have the money to support herself without them. Between the processors and coolant for a month alone she would have been broke.

"Alright. That's enough playing." She mumbled into the microphone and waved to her creation before shutting it off. "The floor will be open for questions and comments now."
