LOCATION: Seoul

Only a boat-ride away, this cafe and bakery is one of the least known in Seoul, but it has the best pasteries, coffee, and bubble tea in Seoul...according to Taemin, at least.

@Gong Minji “Good,” Sehun nodded approvingly, the way maybe a parent would. Which was awkward. Sehun was all sorts of awkward. “I told you that you knew too much about me,” Sehun chuckled, “Besides, the wind won’t stop spilling my secrets for me.” While she had dismissed it before, Sehun did indeed feel like they understood each other very well. Maybe it was just the hype of finally making a friend, or maybe it was because freaks were supposed to emphasize with each other. After-all each of them have been through individual traumas.

“Nice,” Sehun commented simply as she concluded her introduction. Rather than being dismissive as it sounded, Sehun wanted to store this to think about later. When he’s lonely or something...so that he wouldn't be whispering to the wind or whatever. He could be a total creeper and think about her and imagine how her sibling looked like and how the spirit world looked like and also a full family. He was glad she had that, the full family, it sounded picturesque and a lot less brutal than divorces and not being chosen by the favored parent.

“Well, Yasuo is my favourite champion in league of legends, and he says: death is like the wind...always by my side,” Sehun imitated, topping it off with a never-before fit of embarrassed laughter. Because that was a god-awful imitation and he couldn't even drop his voice that low of an octave. “It sounds cynical as heck, but it’s also kind of comedically ironic now that you say I've got a lot of spirits attached to me.” “They’re really by my side after-all,” Sehun grinned, almost creepily so, considering the statement that it followed.
“Okay I’m going to cross the line now...” he paused in a mental search for a good topic. His conversations were always unpremeditated, having never really held one for longer than a minute. “What is your hobby?” Sehun settles with, because trust this dork to land his thoughts on video gaming and anime.
“I like to play games and watch anime if not obvious, and I like to prank people with my ability to be honest,” Sehun laughs, demonstrating a throw of air. It was spherical, like a hovering tennis ball cupped in his palm. It tossed up dust and flecks of matter, making it clearly visible. It came as a surprise to most people that he was very capable of using his ability however he liked. Sehun could do as much as he wanted with it. He just couldn't /control/ it. And therefore he had always believed he was made to destruct things...or maybe self destruct if he tried too hard to contain it. It was a difference that was hard to explain, but was observable after a while. “And what’s your favourite thing to do with your ability?” Sehun tossed the wind-force into a shrub nearby, piercing a circular puncturing through some branches.

@Gong Minji “Okay,” Sehun agreed with a sigh and a hopefully reassuring-enough nod. “I won’t tell anyone and I won’t make you go anywhere.” Sehun gave her hair a daring pat, as an awkward gesture of comfort. He wasn't entirely sure why she feared being examined so much, especially with the way she reacted to the very word. Sehun knows he would have felt the same way, though. He was only a wind bender, but from past experiences hospitals in general possessed an unhealthy air of tension and suffocation, even when the wind was around him. Maybe it was just a sign that the people around him suffered, and he was sure that Minji would be overwhelmed with the amount of spiritual energy. “But if you don’t rest up, I might,” Sehun joked and let his hand fall from her hair. In truth, he wouldn't tell a soul if she asked him not to. Instead he reminded himself to check up on her as much as possible. For the moment, Sehun did his best to keep her comfortable with his wind. Since she knew about his childhood “friend”, he might as well share him with her.

“You know too much about me, Minji” Sehun laughed, surprised that she had sensed his curiosity. Well, asking questions couldn't hurt. Maybe a conversation could distract her and eradicate her headaches and whatnot, so long as it didn't require too much of her energy and ability. “Let’s just get to know one another then, since we’re going to be friends.”
“I’m Oh Sehun, twenty years old, and I had a dad and a cat. The wind is my closest companion and has been around for as long as I can remember. So has death because I've never met my mum before and apparently I had a brother. And my motto comes from a video game character, because we’re alike and he is my favourite.” Sehun listed off the top of his head, “Alright, your go, tell me about your ability,” Sehun crossed his legs on the park bench, enjoying the presence of his company. The last time he talked to someone like this was a long time ago, and that didn't even last to become friendship. Something about Minji made him feel like they've been close for a long time already, though he barely knew her favourite color or the type of things that she liked.

@Gong Minji [lol i guess we'll just use the room but in a different setting]

After receiving plenty of questioning stares from people who passed by, Sehun finally reached the park, where they could be left alone. He didn't have any idea why he hadn't considered the hospital, but he believed that regular doctors wouldn't have been of many help to supernatural impairments. When the female finally comes to, Sehun lets out a breath of relief, thankful that he hadn't made the wrong decision. “Hey,” he offered her a reassuring smile once she had acknowledged him “I’m glad you’re fine,” Sehun emanated a gentle, warm breeze now as he talked. It was sort of embarrassing, how the wind sometimes spoke emotions that he wouldn't have otherwise exposed. At least he knew that his new friend of all people wouldn't judge him for it.

Among the hazy thoughts of embarrassment fostered by the fact that she was still in his arms, Sehun heard a feeble: “where” and almost mistook her weak voice for a noise made by the wind. “Nowhere,” Sehun responded and sat her on a bench upon coming across one. “I was going to take you to the hospital, but I just assumed the black-out was triggered by over exertion,” Sehun explained and allowed the wind to carry wisps of her hair out of her face. “I still feel like we should see someone about this though,” he added, after consideration. After-all a black-out wasn't something one should ignore.

Sehun observed her facial tone, trying to assess signs of discomfort, which seemed apparent. It didn't seem like something this extreme had happened to her before. Otherwise she would have avoided it. Sehun took the blame to himself, after-all he was the one who provoked her curiosity and asked her questions. Really, he had more questions and wanted to ask her about her blackout; whether a spirit had done it to her, whether it drained her health, weather spirits do. But those were all but suppressed. “Who do you trust? Who can I take you to see?” Sehun settled for instead, finding that matter the strongest in urgency.

@Gong Minji (All good ^^ Happy New Year to you too!)
“Sweet” Sehun mused to himself. How long ago was it since he last heard someone describe him like that? The thought leaves a soft smile on his otherwise tightly pressed lips. He supposed it was something that only freaks could appreciate about each other. It’s why he came here in the first place, everyone was befriendable.
“I thought so,” Sehun shrugged in response to her inference. He didn’t expect an element to contain a soul as much as he tried to deceive himself. In the end he was never really alone; he was talking to the spirits. Perhaps that was where his respect for them at stemmed from. He never really feared monsters beneath his bed as a child. He never feared the thought of waking up to a ghost staring back at him. Because they were friends who spoke to him and kept him company up until now. Still, even though it was proven that the wind was soul-less by someone who knew best; Sehun doesn’t think he’ll ever stop whispering soothing words into its howls in the middle of the night. “I’d like to get to know them one day, and hear it when they’re talking back,” Sehun concluded, staring down at his almost-empty cup and reflection amongst the darkness of the liquid. A moment of silence lapsed by before he heard her offer, which sounded like an extension of friendship to him. Sehun doesn’t even notice the way his eyes curve into crescent moons as he smiled. And by the time he looked up to thank her, he had witnessed her eyelids fall shut as her body went limp.
“!” Sehun reached forwards, fast, shifting the table and spilling the last of his own drink, but at least in time to catch her fall. Panic stirred inside him, riling up a strong blow of wind which almost punctured his lungs as it surges through his body before emitting itself into the air around him. The cafeteria was instantly unclouded in strong wind, which battered the paintings and made certain objects tremble on their countertops. “Hey!,” Sehun called to her face helplessly, only now realising that he hadn’t really asked for her name, being the idiot he was. By now the customers and even the employees had cleared out of the cafe, thinking that there was an earthquake. Sehun could only stare helplessly at the warm body he cradled, and checked it for a pulse. “This has got to be my fault,” he uttered as he carried her out of the building, not wanting to cause confusion amongst the people who had escaped already.

@Gong Minji "Oppa..."Sehun echoed with a silly smile. Life would have been very different if he had a sibling. For starters he wouldn't have opted to befriending the wind, and there could possibly be someone who shared his ability. Of course, that was not possible from a single parent family. Sehun nodded at the door with an acknowledging smile as if saying "see you again", though it was unlikely he would sense her the next time she came. Still, a friend was a friend, human or not. "They seem easy to befriend, it's nice," Sehun commented, once he assumed the girl had left them. "Looks like I have a follower."

Sehun watched as Minji's hand reached for his, and he allowed it even though he was worried about her readings. He knew that it was more likely than not that the wind had no soul, but for someone to prove it to him was quite unbearable. Who would he talk to on lonelier days? But if someone who's sick of spending energy could put in the effort to read him, surely Sehun could manage to at least listen.

"Oh, well if it counts, I speak to the wind," he admitted shyly, a secret he only shared because of what he'd receive in turn "it's my ability to manipulate air and wind, though a lot of the time I feel like it works on it's own." My class-mates always told me that /I/ was more like the ghost myself, so I was avoided a lot. Eventually the only friend I had was the wind," Sehun paused for a sip of his drink, a slight blush tinted his pale skin. "I believe it's a spirit." "I mean I can't be sure..." Sehun upturned his palm and a gush of cool wind shot past Minji's ear, teasing through strands of her hair and frolicking about before finally easing into a calm breeze "...but when I hear that sound it makes, I can't help but believe it has a soul." "But your job is to prove me wrong, right?"

@Gong Minji "That's nice, I know where your coming from," Sehun smiled warmly, ironically so (I am so lame). "I started calling mine a gift as well, it makes us who we are and it makes us people who belong in the Cirque." There were times when Sehun wanted to disown his ability and shred his bond with it, but having spent nineteen lonesome years talking to the wind and it's make-believe soul, Sehun knew he could never live his life without his best friend. Sometimes he wondered where he would be without his ability, and in all honesty, he preferred this. Being in a community of freaks, where for the first time people were not afraid of him. They were only considered freaks by the outsiders, and that didn't matter, because between one another, they were simply friends, and Sehun has wanted one for years.

"My lap?" Sehun's gaze adverted calmly to the denim jeans wrapped around his thighs, there was no weight at all. "I see..so what if.." a slow smile stretched across his cheeks as he wrapped his arms around the air, despite the warning. "Am I holding her?" he grins widely. People around began to steal brief glances, but he didn't care because it was a look that was all too familiar. Sehun only invested concentration on his curiosity and awe at the moment. "Thank you for finding me cute," Sehun speaks, through quietly so that onlookers wouldn't find him too weird.

[Lol don't worry I was gone for a looong time haha]

@Gong Minji Sehun takes a sip of his drink as he listened, temple creasing as he empathized with her struggle. "That sounds like a pain, you probably get a lot of people asking you to speak to people who have parted," he commented. He could only imagine the voices that she could hear, and all the stares that she receives. Sehun had deceased friends of his own, family, with the exception of his dad, but he had never really gotten that close with any of them, so found no point in bothering his companion by requesting the favor.

"Still, it's quite interesting," Sehun leans back, a little more at ease. He enjoyed being around people who spoke a lot. They filled in his silence, and he didn't like spending the energy to speak. Additionally, the girl seemed to be easy going and quite genuine. "Oh really? What is she doing, then." Sehun grins, not at all bothered by the thought of interacting with spirits. It seemed to be quite suitable for someone like Sehun anyways, after-all his make-believe friend was quite akin to a ghost itself.

@Gong Minji [lol yeyy]

Sehun doesn't misjudge the touch or flinch the slightest, instead he settled appreciatively into the chair. His discontentment continues as he finds himself staring levelly at the girl. As a freak himself, he knew that she wouldn't like to be treated as one, especially by someone of her own kind. It was hard enough coping around regular humans. Still he couldn't help the churning sensation riling in his stomach from approaching a medium. The pressure of asking her about her ability also sat heavily atop of him. And all these emotions seemed to be reflected in the wind; the air around them stiffening as if in the presence of a ghost. Sehun competes with his nervousness and maintains a practiced, calm composure. Many a time had people mistaken his expression as one of hostility, but really it was just his default look, supplemented by the chill of the wind that always surrounded him.

"I'm new to the circus, but I heard about your ability. It just interested me a lot, that's all," Sehun watched her as he spoke, trying to read her expression to perceive some sort of reaction. In truth, he wanted to find out about the wind. For a long time he imagined it to be an entity of it's own. It was either that, or he was totally delirious. But if anyone could sense a spirit, it would probably be her. "Can you talk to them by will?" He asked, really to fill in the silence after realizing that he hadn't really asked her a question.

@Gong Minji Sehun entered the cafe with a whoosh of wind elicited by the swing of the door. His dramatic entrances were unavoidable, thank the sensitivity of the wind to every gesture he made. Sehun turned a few heads, some carrying slightly annoyed expressions. All heads except one. A lone girl with dark, short hair, who from here looked no older than himself. Vaguely he recalled escorting this girl among other freaks to Seoul from the home island, having been faithful to his boat-driving duties. Sehun also retracted the the loose memory of a conversation he had with another freak, something about talking to ghosts.

Gathering up the courage, Sehun ordered a drink and positioned himself awkwardly by her table. "Hey, you're from the circus aren't you? I'm Sehun, mind if I take a seat?" he fired rapidly, leaving no pauses for her to really respond. His left hand is already pressed expectantly on the back of the wooden chair, forever impatient like his windy companion. Sehun was very aware of his jittery state, but rushing himself into things he wasn't comfortable with has always been the only way he could ever manage to complete those tasks. Slowly he felt like he was shrinking into the ground as he awaited a response, after-all she seemed almost intimidating, the kind of way he felt around mind-readers and people who knew to much.

[sry for any typos haha im terrible on my phone]
