@lee hyeri "Well, she could be a Kim or a Choi like you said." Jun Jin replied, gripping his radio tightly so the handle wouldn't slip between his fingers. "But it's not, because she's Lee Hyeri and that's your name so it must be you, right?" The man smiled at his own conclusion before becoming silent as he continued to follow her. Just like she had been before, he was lost within his own thoughts. "Well," he started, breaking himself out of his own mental stupor and speaking again. "My dad never mentioned you having a grandmother in the first place. She probably doesn't even know me." Jun Jin frowned and pouted slightly as she stopped on the street corner, watching her carefully as she turned to look at him before trying to shoo him away. "H-hey! You can't just push me away! I-I don't even know if it's really you, even though I think it is, um...crap..." Instead of stopping on the corner, he continued to walk after her. "Why do you keep trying to get me to go away anyways? It's not like I'm doing anything wrong."
@lee hyeri "Who told you that?" Jun Jin questioned confusedly. As far as he knew, her parents should still be alive. Then again, he hadn't talked to them since.../that/ happened. Brushing the thoughts away as quick as they came, not really wanting to remember that moment right now, he tilted his head slightly and looked at her. "I mean, I haven't seen your parents in ages but I know they were still alive till you were at least 10...although, I'm not sure if that counts as 'kid' or not..." Chuckling awkwardly, he put his money jar onto the stereo and rubbed the back of his neck. It was weird, talking to Hyeri after all these years. It was actually a little over a decade (and wow, that thought made him feel old), since the last time he saw her in real life was when the other was 9. He was just 17-years-old, still traveling around the globe with his father. One place to the next, hopping on planes and driving miles upon miles in trailers and rental cars. "Do you really not remember?" he then asked as she pushed past him, and he turned to look at her retreating back. "You were 9. It's not like you could just forget at that age..." he muttered to himself, shaking his head and swiftly walking after her. "Are you sure? I'm not gonna try and do anything weird if that's what you were thinking." Instead of leaving, he just walked by her side, frowning slightly as he noticed her expression. "Are you alright?"
@lee hyeri After she had hung up the phone and finally spoke to him, Jun Jin realized that it really was her. He hadn't exactly met her face-to-face before. That had only been one time, but he still remembered exactly what Hyeri looked like. His father had often showed him pictures of the girl and her family as he was close with her parents. Sometimes Jun Jin would even get to talk to her parents over the phone from the other side of the world, and although he didn't see much of the girl herself, he knew that he knew her anyways.
"Uh..." he started off dumbly, drawing a blank before finally figuring out what to say. "I'm Choongjae, but uh, most people call me Jun Jin...? My uh, dad...he knew your parents..." The dancer smiled awkwardly as she tried to glare at him, but he brushed it off like he normally did when anything threatening was sent his way (although her look wasn't very threatening anyways). After she had spoken about getting checked out, he finally noticed that she was hurt and his eyes widened slightly. "Wait! Um, I mean..." he coughed before trying to smile and nodded his head to her. "I know how to treat things like that. Comes with all the traveling you know. You never know what could happen on an adventure. If you wouldn't mind...I could treat it for you..."
@lee hyeri Jun Jin didn't know why he kept looking at her, but he was suddenly broken out of his trance-like state when she started walking away. Was it really her though? He had to find out. If not to make sure it was her, then to maybe find some sort of consolation in a person that his dad knew. Or her parents. Or whatever. The dancer had no idea what he was actually doing anymore as he frantically turned off the radio and picked it up by the handle. Screwing the top on his jar, he started to run across the street, not even looking both ways and almost getting run over.
"Sorry!" he yelled over the blaring of their horn as they honked at him in annoyance, but he kept running after the woman. Following her by remembering the color of her clothes, he weaved through the crowd. As he turned the corner, he was about to keep looking for her when he realized she had actually stopped by a tall brick building and was throwing something away in the trash can. Jun Jin couldn't see her face as she had her back to him, and he hurried forward just in case she would start walking again. Not running anymore, he walked up to and around her to get a look at her face, almost dropping his radio and his jar of coins. "H-Hyeri?"
@lee hyeri It was a bus street corner, sun beating down on his back although it was still chilly. As spring had started again, Jun Jin was getting out more on the streets instead of trying to find ragtag jobs at bars and other places. The radio next to him blared some old hip-hop song he used to listen to when him and his dad were in America, and he danced relentlessly, not even feeling the cold everyone else was. He turned his hat around and grinned at one of the girls in the small crowd, pointing his fingers at her before turning away and moving onto the next move. Dancing came easy to him, which was why everything he did was improve really. Even know he was just doing the first thing that popped into his head, feet automatically moving in time to the beat. As the song came close to an end, he did a hand-stand, legs spreading out in the air before he landed back on his feet right when the music stopped. He smiled as people clapped, most of them starting to walk away. Some of them poured a handful coins into the small jar he had by the radio, and he thanked them before reaching out to turn on a different song on the radio. Just as he stood up though, he suddenly found himself making eye contact with a woman across the street. A woman that was eerily familiar. So much that instead of looking away, he continued to just watch her from where she stood.
