The Village Edge

@Naeun He raises a brow at her stark statements, acknowledging her truth with an accompanied nod. "Well the village is the safest place in this world for us. The treaty in itself is meant to protect us, and soldiers like me are made to do so as well. And I take my job very seriously, which involves ensuring the safety of the entire populace, no matter their species or view of things." He said almost proudly, his chest pushing up a bit to claim his status as he met her gaze with his own strong commanding look. Yongguk softened a bit when she told him she could fend for herself, he valued strength in people but it was still his duty to protect none the less. "Fine works for now, but what if a herd of banshees broke through hm? We've been having problems with those bastards lately."

"Hungry? I-" Yongguk was almost baffled by the young woman's kind presence, he kneels forward just a bit before returning to his original position. He answered her politely, by saying, "Thank you, I am famished, but I have food awaiting me at camp." He was interrupted by her sudden change in demeanor, giving her a nod. "Yeah sure....Naeun." Her name rolled off his tongue smoothly as he looked above to spot a flock of crows. He squinted at them almost angrily, before being surprised by the angelic voice resonating throughout the area. "Wow. That was....." Yongguk couldn't even finish his sentence at the beauty he acknowledged through her heavenly voice.

@Yongguk She listened to his story about how he guarded the place and the existance of other soldiers. She chuckled when he once again warned her about her safety. "No where, I repeat, no where in this village is a safe place. We're all creatures. We have likes and dislikes. Some of them fight and even killed. We still have our greed because we think out clan is the best." She pointed out the truth. When they know she's a fallen angel,they would try their best to found out what was exactly her sin that made her into a fallen angel. She didn't like it therefore it's better to be alone rather than in a place where people gathered around. "I'm fine by myself. I can fight eventhough might not as powerful as you." Gods still gave her some power but not as powerful as when she was in heaven.

"Oh!" She opened her bag and found a bread inside. "You must be hungry. Don't worry I have another one." Back then,she ate the most because devils always came and attacked the kingdom,made her energy drained every single day. Just like her,he must felt just like her. She looked around and it seemed like he wanted to be alone, she took a step back and bowed to him. "Well... See you soon?" She turned around and was about to go when suddenly crows flied through and stole her breath away. The enemy presence,she could sense it. She closed her eyes and started to sing a song. The only weapon left for her was her amazing voice that soothed anger away. Slowly the crows turned their way and back to the unknown place behind the village.

@Naeun "Naeun." He repeated her name, her name rolling gracefully of his tongue as he stepped away, taken aback by her gentle pat, not used to being touched by humans. "I'm Yongguk." He answered her, saying his name softly as he crossed his arms, looking the woman once and twice over, trying to figure out what exactly she was. He raised a brow when she answered one of his unspoken questions, leading him to narrow his eyes and warn her once over. "It's not safe over here..."

Yongguk stopped his warning when she spread her wings, completely struck by the magnificence the feathery extremities brought forth, a flurry of questions running through his mind. He then nodded when she called herself a fallen angel, and then snapped back to reality when she spoke again. He swallowed before answering. "It isn't that hard. The grounds are protected by other soldiers, they are off duty at the moment though. Things are rather peaceful around this time. We have a bigger situation brewing in the forests." Yongguk glanced behind him into the treeline after he spoke, before answering again. "At the moment.....yes i am alone. But you shouldn't be." He flashed concern for her singular presence here in a dangerous part of town.

@Yongguk She stopped a few meters away from him s he asked her a question. It supposed to be her question but at least she knew he's the dragon she saw earlier. "Naeun..." She replied as her gaze fixed to him to came closer to her with curiosity in his eyes. She didn't even flinch and instead,absorbed herself more into his appearance. "But there's you." She retorted as her hand gently patted his red hair. It was soft and beautiful. As the sun shone upon him,his figure shimmered like the red dragon she saw earlier. It was amazing how he could shape shift unlike when she was an angel before. She's forever in this form and not scary and cool like him as the red dragon. "I'm new here and I haven't explored much but I heard about this place.." Her statement answered his unspoken curiosity.

She stepped back a bit and closed her eyes before a pair of black wings appeard from her back. Contrast with her fair skin,but somehow,amazing to see. "I'm a fallen angel.. You remind me of when I was guarding the heaven." She hid her wings immadiately. She didn't like to show her wings,it's like she's showing her sins to a stranger. "But it must be hard for you.. I didn't see other guards around. Are you alone?" Maybe this was the first time she spoke to stranger this much. The essence of their jobs linked them together in a conversation.

@Naeun Yongguk soared over the border line, keeping a keen watch on all the ground soldiers below him. The wind slipping through his expansive wings with every flap, as he closed his eyes to enjoy the feeling of flight; a feeling he would always cherish. When he looked down to examine the ground again, he spotted a petite figure looking up at him. He knew she wasn't safe there so he contemplated landing near her to warn her of the threats in the forest just a few feet away. He kept flying almost mindlessly as he did his job, scanning over the vast landscape until he looked down once again to find the female now running after him. He then decided to stop and confront the young woman.

He soared down fast towards the ground, doing spirals here and there, enjoying the wind in his face while it lasted. He landed on the soil with a thud, running forward to slow his speed until he came to a complete stop, where he quickly morphed into his human form. Yongguk brushed the dirt off his pants and slipped on a tank he always kept in his saddle bag before hearing the woman speak. He turned towards her and confirmed her question with a nod, before asking his own question. "Who are you?"

Yongguk stepped closer to the girl and tilted his head in curiosity, looking over her figure to see if he had recognized her, but he has yet to meet this mysterious woman. "What are you doing out here. It is very dangerous you know..." He narrowed his eyes, firmness backing his words as he spoke.

@Yongguk Since day one she's here in the village,she never met an end of this village but fortunately,she found a man who was willing to tell her where was the end of the village but also warned her not to go there. Most soldiers were there to protect the village from enemies attack but most enemies sneaked inside the village through it at night. Being a fearless yet curious girl she was,she ignored his warning and walked several kilometers away just to see what's in the village edge. She panted softly as she reached the village edge but found nothing except a field of green fresh grass and pine trees. Some flowers bloomed amongst the green grass,coloured it a bit. *there's nothing here..* she thought dissapointedly. She thought it would be something like in kingdom in heaven,soldiers everywhere,protecting and ready to attack enemies 24/7,but the fact she didn't find a single person here dissapoint her.

Just when she was about to leave the place,a shadow covered the sun and unconsciously made her looked up and saw a giant European red dragon soared up on the blue sky. The dragon left her breathless,admiring the beauty it offered. Her eyes never left the figure and instead followed where the dragon flied too. At first she's walking but soon,running,afraid she would lost his track. She panted hard and stopped as the dragon slowly shape shift back into a human form. A muscle man with red hair. A man that she never saw before in the village. Judging from his appearance,he must be one of those soldier,or actually the only one. "Are you..... That dragon?" She asked as she approached him carefully.

Eunji walked slowly through the grass, looking around to make sure there were no soldiers. She didn't think it was bad to come this far since it was technically still in the area, but often when she did come down her she was told to get lost. However, being the innocent troublemaker she was, she continued to come back every once in a while. She always wanted to explore farther places but she didn't want to get herself into any danger either.. So, she just sat down and looked outside the boundary, the breeze blowing her hair back. She hugged her knees to her chest and rested her chin on her knees.
