@ᴵ ᴶ Lee Sungkyung Kristen found herself studying the other girl's features and expressions in an attempt to work out where she stood with her. She could feel that there was a slightly uncomfortable atmosphere weighing over the two of them but she wanted to know if it was more complex than that. Since this girl was able to get away with theft there was a chance that she was a lot more intelligent than Kristen herself and that made the inmate rather uncomfortable. If the other could outsmart her who knew what she had in store for her.

"I didn't mean any offence by calling you innocent...just so you know" The girl muttered, her voice trailing off towards the end of her sentence as she looked away from the other inmate for a moment when something caught her eye. Kristen's eyebrows knitted into a frown, her eyes focused on something in the corner of the room, unaware if it was real or a hallucination brought on by her schizophrenia. "I...uh.." She mumbled back to the other, struggling to take her attention off of what she was seeing. "I'm Kristen." Her response came after an uncomfortably long pause but it was better than nothing. "Sorry, I get distracted sometimes." Kristen admitted, scratching at the back of her neck as she turned back to the other girl, forcing an awkward smile. "So...theft huh? Is that how you got the chocolate you were eating when I came in?" The inmate couldn't help but chuckle quietly, she could understand why the girl would steal food, she'd tried some of the food from the cafeteria and quite frankly she'd rather eat rocks than that slop.

@Ⓘ Kristen Stewart Sungkyung was a little uncomfortable under the girl's stare, but she wasn't going to show it. The first sign of weakness shown in prison can define the rest of your prison sentence. Whether you're on top, somewhere in the middle, or somebody's bottom . And between the two of them Sungkyung would probably be the , but she wasn't going to let her know that. She's been here for seven months now and she's yet to be on the bottom. There's no way in hell she was ever going to be. She's content with her "leave me the hell alone and stay out of my face" status. No one messed with her and she was perfectly okay with that. She had her best prison friend and that's all she needs right now.

They fell into a laps of silence. She didn't expect for them to talk much anyway. Sungkyung wasn't much of talker if she didn't have anything to say and her new roomie seemed to be the same way. Good. No one she has to at from not shutting up. Then their silence was interrupted by soft speaking. Her roommate was talking to herself. She couldn't make out what she was saying, but she could see her lips moving and hear her a little bit. Great. She's the type that talks to herself too. That means she's crazy. Maybe she could sneak into Jongin's room and bunk with him and his roommate for a few nights. She was pulled from her musing by a question that had her laughing. "I'm far from innocent." That's the first time she's ever heard anyone call her innocent other than when she was a child and taken from her parents. Nothing but innocent child this and innocent child that. It was true then, but not anymore. "I'm in for thief. My misdemeanors racked up to a felony. Whoo." She said the last word sarcastically. "What's your name? I'm Sungkyung."

@ᴵ ᴶ Lee Sungkyung Kristen couldn't help but notice that the other seemed a little tense around her, she'd probably been hoping for a roommate with a better reputation so it was understandable, but Kristen didn't want her to be afraid, at least not while she was in this state. The inmate furrowed her eyebrows, trying to make up her mind on what she thought the other had done to get herself locked up. She didn't look violent and she seemed sane enough, but sometimes appearance didn't tell all.

The girl nodded, keeping her eyes fixed on the other inmate as she layed down on her side, propping herself up with her elbow in hopes it would be more comfortable than the way she had previously been sat. "I'll keep that in mind." Kristen gave another nod, a little too lost in what was going on in her head to focus properly. Part of her was trying to be as nice as possible but she couldn't deny that there was a voice in her head screaming at her to do something that would certainly get her chucked straight back into solitary. For a few moments Kristen remained silent while she tried to focus on keeping her mind in the right place. "Keep it together Kristen. Keep it together. You're fine, everything's fine." The inmate muttered to herself, her voice almost inaudible. It wasn't uncommon for her to talk to herself, but she did try to keep it to a minimum when possible, at least when she was aware she was doing it that is. "So uh..." The girl began, trying to rekindle the conversation now that she'd managed to get her mind back on track. "What are you in for? You look...well, you look kinda innocent actually..."

@Ⓘ Kristen Stewart "Oooh." So she's one of those. The 'so dangerous they need to be kept restrained at all times' type of prisoner. Yesh. Sungkyung was afraid to ask her what she'd been convicted for. If she had to guess she'd bet she murdered someone, but she doesn't want to know for sure. It's better off that way. At least she'll be able to sleep at night if she kept her nose out of it. And she's been in solitary, even better. Yeah, she'll have to pick and choose her words carefully. Anyone that goes to solitary before they meet their roommate is bad business.

"So it goes in prison. Don't let it bother you too much. If you behave they'll leave you alone...for the most part. You've only been here what? A few days? It'll take awhile, but they'll treat you decent eventually. And if you're /extra/ good some of the officers might sneak some contraband in for you." There are some convicts that know their way to getting what they want. How they do that is beyond Sungkyung. She can only assume ual favors are at hand, but as long as there's something to steal, then she'll never be that desperate.

@ᴵ ᴶ Lee Sungkyung Out of respect, Kristen waited until the other girl had acknowledged her before making her way over to the unclaimed bed, slumping into it with a sigh. The room itself wasn't too bad, it was definitely an improvement from the one she'd been in previously, but whether her and her roomie would get along was a different matter all together.

The girl scoffed quietly at the name the other had given to the officer that brought her into the cell. She may not have been sane but she could always appreciate a bit of humour. "They me everywhere in cuffs, whether I'm causing trouble or not." Kristen responded, giving a slight shrug. Part of her knew there was a reason they had been keeping her restrained, but she also couldn't help but feel it was a little unfair. "They kept me in them for most of the time I was in solitary as well...they're a lot rougher than I expected here" The inmate replied, laughing a little at her own stupidity for thinking they'd treat her well.

@Ⓘ Kristen Stewart Sungkyung noted the way the officer slammed the door when he closed it. Uh-oh. Seems this one's more of a troublemaker than she is if, A. she was brought here handcuffed, and B. the officer walked away with an attitude. None of those were good signs. She couldn't stand when they did this . Stick the non-crazy convicts with the crazy ones. And they didn't give a what happened as long as it didn't get messy. Might as well play it cool and not start , until she knows what she's in for.

A nod and that was it. Sungkyung wasn't picky as long as she was acknowledged. So far so good. "Sup." She said after she took the candy bar out of . She wanted to go back to her game, but she didn't know if she could trust her roomie not to rat her out. "Your were brought in handcuffs, so what you do to piss of officer friendly?" That's the name she gave the officer that usually dealt with this cell block. He was always in a pissy mood or whatever, but it was bad if he handcuffed an inmate just to them to their cell.

@ᴵ ᴶ Lee Sungkyung Though Kristen had only been here three days, the first two of which she had spent in solitary because of the ruckus she had kicked up upon being brought here, she had realised almost straight away that the guards didn't do the whole 'treating inmates with respect thing'. In her short time here Kristen had already been tackled and put into cuffs multiple times by the officers, who didn't seem to care at all whether she was behaving or not. Clearly the staff had taken an instant disliking to her, but then again, with a crime like hers, who could blame them.

The guard had a firm grip on her hands that had been restrained behind her back as he led her into the cell and though it was causing her a great deal of discomfort, Kristen didn't struggle against him. There was no way in hell she was going to let them lock her up in solitary again.

After finally un-cuffing her, the officer mumbled a stern 'I swear to ing god you better behave in there' before pushing her forward slightly, slamming the cell door behind her and leaving her alone with her new roommate. For a few moments, the girl was preoccupied with rubbing at the indentations the tight handcuffs had made on her wrists, but it wasn't long before she turned her attention to the other girl in the cell, giving her a single nod as a greeting. Kristen was never much of a talker...well, she wasn't one for initiating conversations, but if someone spoke to her she probably wouldn't have any problem with replying.

@Ⓘ Kristen Stewart Sungkyung laid on her bed with a snickers hanging out of and a PSP in her hands. Both are stolen items. The candy bar from the commissary and the PSP from one of the officer's lockers. No one would notice a candy bar missing, so she was free to eat as many as she could steal, but the game system would get her thrown in solitary if she's not careful. She usually hides it in the library behind books, but she was too tired to take it back last night and stuck it under her pillow praying their wouldn't be a cell check today. Coming down the hall were heavy footsteps and the jangling of keys. She paused the game and stuck it under her pillow just in time for the door opened. "Welcome your new roomie, Sungkyung, and don't cause trouble. Either of you."
