X, or Sehun, had been conning people left and right that day. Bringing in money like no one's business, different scams and different, foolish people deciding to fall into the traps. It was odd, though, he felt a pair of eyes on him, but never bothered to find where those eyes were coming from. He knew that was a huge no no, considering it could have been the police. Sehun always was too careful, though, never leaving much of anything behind, nothing that was useful to anyone.
When a voice sounded in a mocking sort of way, the blond glancsd up and smirked. "Jongin" He said before gesturing to the trinkets on the table. "None of this will interest you." Sehun was already read up on EXO and he knew very well who the leader was. He wasn't dense when it came to the EXO gang. "What brings you here to me?" The blonde questioned, slowly beginning to pack up his stuff since he had a feeling he would need to do so.
@Chanyeol Chen waiting lazing idly in his guns store room while waiting for Chanyeol to return. It had been minutes passed the waiting time but despite that he wasn't worried yet. Fingers hooking onto one of his many guns, he twirled it around his fingers as he waited for the familiar male to step through the doors sooner or later. His twirling motions stopped in mid track when a phone ring got his attention. Seeing it was Chanyeol's number, he picked it up swiftly wanting to ask when would the other be arriving. However, before he could even get a word in, the other had started speaking. The contents of the conversation had him furrowing his eyebrows, wondering if it was another one of his pranks or was it real.
"Is this one of your pranks again?" He laughed heartily into the phone at how serious the other had sounded like in the conversation. "Enough of your pranks, yeol. Come back soon, I am dying of boredom waiting for you here." He continued, shaking his head with another laugh even though it couldn't be seen over the phone conversation. Despite saying that, he felt like something wasn't right and that feeling was eating away at him even after he hung up the call and threw his phone somewhere on the table. Snippets of the conversation kept playing in his mind, making him wonder if it was a wrong judgement on his part to just assume it was a prank and hung up the call.
Worried, he picked up his phone and made a call back to Chanyeol just to assure himself that the latter was fine. The ringtone kept playing and playing in his ear but the call didn't connect. 'That's weird' He thought, would the other really pull a prank to such an extend? Just right when he was about to try again, his phone rang and of course, he quickly picked that up after seeing the familiar number which he was calling previously flashing on his screen. "Yah! Park Chanyeol. This is a prank right? You got me really worried, you dork!" He shouted into the phone the moment he picked it up. However, the voice that answered him was not the deep familiar voice of Chanyeol but of someone unfamiliar. "Who are you?" He asked into the phone, gripping it tightly in his hands as he tired to access the situation in his mind.
@Chen He returns back to where he originated once the task was completed, finding it easier to walk where shade and shadows are provided to conceal his identity from the public. He comes to a halt, a light rustle startling him. An unfamiliar sound. A sound that could possess potential danger to his life. An intruder who's beyond enemy lines. The alarmed male becomes stiff, straightening his back to get a better sense. Maybe it had been just the wind. Clouds have come, rendering Chanyeol invisible as he blends in to the shadows. He slips into the shelter of the thick trees that did not betray his position, following the sound quietly. Chanyeol grows curious when the air is becomes unnervingly silent again, his head peaking out from behind a tree trunk as his eyes slide over several trees to the next. Nothing appears to be out of place or suspicious, save for the several pigeons flying overhead. Chanyeol seems to be overreacting. With a shrug, Chanyeol returns to his stroll back home.
A few minutes later, just as Chanyeol's about to make a sharp right turn around the corner, he feels a small projectile solidly thwap against the heel of his foot, knocking it slightly to the side. It takes him a few minutes to regain his bearings, look down, and register the bullet shell lying innocuously on the ground. With wide eyes, Chanyeol slowly looks up to find a gun aimed point blank at his face, half a foot away, and an unamused man, finger steady on the trigger.
"Whoa," Chanyeol raises his arms. “We should try talking this out first.”
He pushes the gun closer toward his forehead. "Call your boss," the stranger snarls and points at Chanyeol's hand with his gun, disguised men suddenly filling the scene.
In less than a minute he's dialing someone other than their desired target, carefully placing whomever on speaker phone before the line goes on. "Chen," he says calmly into the phone, "No need to alarm you, but I strongly suggest you to track my phone and come here immediately. We've got a situation and I'd very much appreciate if you'd come here as soon as possible." He'd be lying if he said it isn't amusing, since he never knew such grown humans could act so childish, to assemble a barrier against the hands that could kill them without remorse. Were these inhabitants always this annoying? He should know, considering he used to be part of that naivete, but he knows the ones that tend to him now aren't nearly this foolish and persistent. If they wanted to hold him hostage, he couldn't stop them. This group is allowed to make their own choices, be it something that could save their time and breath or be the cause of getting their throats ripped out. Nine times out of ten was the latter.
Chanyeol looks at one of the masked men. "That's a nice hat," he comments offhandedly.
@Sehun EXO was the kind of gang that didn't just take in anyone. Jongin only wanted the best of the best in every field, and he settled for nothing less. Some of the other gang leaders in the area were fools because they never did the foot work themselves, but Jongin was quite different. He liked to personally go out to settle business or check out a possible recruit to the gang. It was dangerous to go out on his own yes, but the gang leader wasn't helpless. He was as deadly and well trained as an assassin, therefore he had no nerves in leaving the comfort of the hotel and going out in the cover of night.
Tonight he was looking into someone who had been brought to his attention by someone else in a conversation. After doing a small bit of digging, he discovered that this silver tongued man swindling people out of their money went by X. He got a tip on where he could find said man, and went out dressed in casual street clothing to blend into the masses. As much as he loved his expensive suits, they drew too much attention in public to go out in when he was alone.
He walked the streets for a while, looking in the general area he heard he could find this X. He had a basic idea of his appearance from a picture. When he did find him, Jongin hung back in the shadows, watching him for a time. He had yet to find someone that could impress him in the field of conning, but this man seemed to be very good at what he did. The leader found himself pursing his lips an nodding slowly to himself. 'he'll do.' he thought, stepping from the shadows and approaching X. "What is it you're selling?" He asked with mock curiosity.
