004: Classes

@Jimin The rest of the class period went by fine. Well, beside the fact that he kept getting stared at by various students. He knew he had been rather bold with the way he came out to the class but Yoongi hardly cared what a handful of kids thought about his uality. He was a grown man and he wasn't going to hide himself. Not anymore at least. The bell finally rang and Yoongi was ready to run back to his oasis (his office) after of course he dealt with the homophobic idiot in the hallway. He was not going to let that punk get away with what he said. But his wrath was put on pause when a student walked up to him. It was the boy who he noticed before. The one that looked so tightly wound up he had been afraid he'd snap. Yoongi stared at the boy quietly for a moment and read him like an open book put on display. He smiled at him, a tender kind of smile that he hoped would give him some kind of ease. "Of course, my door is always open unless I'm with another student. Though I do have a free hour after lunch if you'd like to stop by. You're ...Park Jimin right?" he asked, he had remembered the boy's name after he taken attendance. "Though if you'd like to set up an appointment that's fine too- Also my door is open during lunch and study hall. So you know just drop by whenever you want. I'll be there and we can talk about anything...it gets lonely there so I'd love the company." he chuckled softly, it was a joke but he thought to lighten the mood. Everything had been so tense the entire period Yoongi could feel a new knot in his back. "Now, if you'd excuse me I have to go deal with an idiot." he sighed softly and gave a small smile before he walked out of the classroom. He walked in stride with his head held high he wasn't going to let himself look weak before the student. He knew that some students didn't take him seriously because of his age and size. Also some people felt that because he wasn't a teacher he didn't have the same kind of authority. They were sorely mistaken of course. Now, on top of all of that the entire school would know he was gay. He surely had put a target on his back but he wore it with pride because nothing they said could hurt him any longer. "Yah- Kim Bumsoo get up. We're going to the principal's office." He snapped and made the student walk towards the principal's office.

@Jungkook /sighs to myself as i neatly pack up after math class has ended, making sure to mark the page where the teacher assigned today's homework and tucking my folder into my backpack/
/i'm just about done when the teacher calls me up to her desk/
/looking up, i see you, someone i've only really seen in passing, standing beside her/
/blinks before obediently shuffling over, adjusting the strap on my shoulder/
yes, ms. choi?
/glances at you, eyes curious/
"Jongin, would you be willing to give Junkook a bit of help and tutor him after school? I want to make sure nobody has a hard time in my class."
/blinks and looks at you, then back at her/
uh, yeah, sure, uh, i can do that, yeah
/she smiles and pats our shoulders/
"good boys. come see me after you make some progress."

@Jimin One of the reasons Yoongi enjoyed being a counselor oppose to a teacher was that he didn't have a very strict schedule. He met with various students throughout the day and got paperwork done along with research to go towards his masters degree. But he did have a free period that he was suppose to use to help out any teachers. So, when Mr.Shin had to leave early do a personal emergency Yoongi was stuck with coverage for the class. Normally, this wasn't so bad because it was basically a study hall period and Yoongi was just there to watch the children. No, he happened to get one of the worst classes and now his job was to make sure no one threw a fist into someone's face. He sighed as he wondered how much more of this he'd have to deal with. The entire class wasn't terrible there were some students who just kept to themselves for the duration of the period. Then there was the group of so called delinquents who spent the past hour just chatting about vulgar things. Yoongi shot them several icy looks and had to give them a warning when things became to risque. They just smirked in his general direction and continued to talk to each other. Then he heard the word. It was an ugly word that he grown to hate because of the way people would throw at him. His entire body felt as if it were made of stone for just second before it came alive with fire. "Just so you know. I'm gay." Yoongi said out loud in a clear voice, his dark eyes directed to the group of boys. The entire class was silent and all of the student's eyes were on the counselor. He stared them down for a long silent moment not wavering under their gazes. "What I think is disgusting is your mouth. The way you speak of other human beings as if you have any right to judge us. A misguided child like you should learn to keep their mouth shut when they're suppose to. I've asked you several times to behave and now you can go outside in the hallway. Hands above your head while you kneel. I'll deal with you after class." The words came out of him effortlessly but the fire in them was no joke. Yoongi had spent so many years of his young life scared of boys like him but he was no longer scared. He couldn't be because somewhere in this classroom there could be a kid too scared to say anything so he had to be brave for them. "Sorry class...you may continue to study quietly now." the edge in his voice soften. He looked out into the class and for a moment one student caught his attention. Simply because they looked so wound up that they'd snap any second. Yoongi hoped they'd find peace if not now then soon.
