@park chanyeol ᵐ Although Kyungsoo didn’t have head in the clouds, he loved the space. Loved the mystery coating the subject, the beauty of explorations and the seemingly infinite amount of questions that people struggled to answer, for the space and universe was an ephemeral, nearly mystical, muse perpetually escaping the chasers, the hunger to hunt down and understand only heightening. There was something magical about the stars that painted the dark canvas of the sky, it was almost poetical how what a human saw as an object brightly shining in its glory was light years away and probably dead, since the time measured in the space couldn’t be understood for those used to the Earth’s. Fascinating, exciting, enigmatic – it wasn’t really a surprise for someone like Kyungsoo to fall in ( in a non-gravitational sense ) love with the subject. Neither was it surprise that as soon as he had heard Chanyeol hinting the similar interest, he sought an opportunity to talk about the beloved space and gaze at the artificial stars displayed in the planetarium, a place he hadn’t visited in so long.

And maybe there existed particular doubts about the encounter or the level of knowledge but wasn’t a friendly competition something that was supposed to bring people closer? Even if Kyungsoo was competitive by nature, he didn’t predict taking any drastic means in order to win. Him and Chanyeol could just spend time under the zenith of visual artistry and talk. Talking was nice – a conclusion Kyungsoo drew out as his time at EBAE passed.

Or maybe it was just the matter of right people. He wasn’t sure but neither was he a person to dwell on such nuisances.

“Hey” he greeted the taller male the moment his silhouette was clear enough for him to recognise Chanyeol, miraculously without any excitement hinted through his usual, calm expression ( or the lack of it ) that only faltered when the corner of his lips curved faintly and he tossed the other a laser pointer “I’m ready to kick your . Let’s go.” It’s difficult not to be in awe when you entered the chamber of sky’s secrets, for the dome displayed constellations Kyungsoo loved searching on the real nocturnal canvas above his head.
