@✿ park jimin As the other seemed to attempt forming words other than sounds Taehyung placed the flower crown in his lap with gentle fingers, the pad of his thumb brushing against a delicate petal as he watched them. While waking up in the flower field had definitely become something typical for him, the oracle had never woken up with someone - much less a Dweller - in the same area. Call him curious then, for he had nothing better to do than return to the village and relay what he'd heard last night. Taking in the other's nervous, stuttering demeanor Taehyung offered him a small, reassuring smile. He could see how close - so close - they were to saying whatever it is they needed to. Taehyung would wait in all honesty, if need be - anything to avoid going back to the village so quickly.

"You thought...I was dead?" he mirrored after the Dweller finally got the words out. You'd think (if you thought of Taehyung as a typical bloke) he'd laugh, but coincidentally the same thing has happened before. Just...minus the whole burial part. Quite a few times he'd been found half hanging off his bed with limbs askew, the village people screaming about how they'd lost their oracle before he came to. One such mishap had involved less clothing...and far too many people finding out what he looked like without pants on. So, no, Taehyung isn't all that surprised by this, and instead of laughter he gives the Dweller another smile. "Well, I'm obviously not...now. People have done it before, so don't worry, you're not the first." As he speaks Taehyung starts lifting himself from the ground, wanting to survey how far he is in the field as he's talking. "That's very kind of you though. I doubt anyone else would have done the same." Then, still smiling, the morning sun illuminating him from behind, he holds the flower crown with one hand and offers his other to help them off the ground.

@✼ wong yukhei Shuhua followed the moment of Yukhei's hand, blinking impatiently as she tilted her head a little to the side, one hand reaching up to hold onto the male's shirt out of habit. She looked at his palm as he opened his hand, raising her eyebrows in wonder. "White chocolate?" Well, it wasn't like this was her first time seeing white chocolate. While the dwellers had technology as well, despite being trapped inside the forest — courtesy of the humans who risked taking in their curse several, several years ago — admittedly, the chief had said it wad quite behind, though she supposed it wasn't really that noticeable since they had magic to use. "Purest?" She gently took the sweet from his palm, holding it in between two fingers as she lifted it up to her face, examining it a little. She deemed it safe — well, she doubted Yukhei would give her something dangerous. They were past that stage (trying to kill each other — her brief one sided instinct to eliminate him because he was 'foreign'), after all.

Carefully, she peeled the wrapper just enough to give her space to bite into, and she plopped it into , trapping it with her lips instead of her teeth. She tentatively moved her tongue toward it, taking a small taste — and her eyes lit up in delight at the flavor. "It's good!" she said, but her words were muffled as she tried not to eat the chocolate a little too quickly.

@✿ yeh shuhua He felt the telltale thrumming of foosteps— sometimes he wonder whether the dwellers had developed hardened feet's or some kind of agility power as they prowled through the forest without a grain of hesitance and resistance to whatever may be on the path, kinda awe inspiring though— fast approaching closer and closer until the pair of antlers came to his sight. his mouth curled on it's own, a habit to be exact, forming a tender amiable grin. his eyes crinkled, orbs catching the moon light like a pair of white dots on a black canvas and they fixated on the figure standing before him whilst bearing profound adoration. she was adorable as usual, he noted, and reached down to his coat's side pocket. he let out a belly laugh and uttered. "I'm sure you're going to love this."

He retracted his hands, missing the little of warmth the inside of his pocket offered though it was worth it. He had the expectant look of a shop keeper luring a customer into buying a thing or two. he held his palm open and in it lied something wrapped in a thin sheet of silver. "It's a white chocolate. the purest one with no oil or something I can't quite recall. it coated me a fortune, Bambi, you better like it " His words might carried a threat but his goofy smile said otherwise. "there's also a dried cranberry in the middle of it. quite crunchy, if I say. try it."

@✼ wong yukhei Shuhua's whole world was limited to the land of the forest she currently resided at, and because of that, she often spent her time wondering to herself, sitting along with the flowers that danced with the wind around her, and she would simply look at the sky and think... what was the world like at the other side? She knew they all looked up at the same sky — she knew basic science, alright? — but what did it feel to be actually out there? She had no idea. It was simply her luck for being born within the forest, the curse already inside her whether she chose to be infected or not. She let out a soft exhale, her hair flying with the breeze that caressed her skin as she sat down once more after a long day of hunting — hunter-gatherers like herself did not need to hunt every single day, it just so happened that this day was more tiring than usual.

Her ears perked up at the distant call, and there was only one human alive who would call the dwellers — as the humans called them, and they began to use thst as well because it was easier that way — Bambi, which she supposed, was only her. Her eyes lit up when she saw the familiar figure of the human male, and she quickly stood up, jogging over to the other in record. Her curiosity was already piqued when she leaned in toward him, eyes glinting with her desire to know as she met his gaze. "What? What is it? What did you get for me?"

@✿ yeh shuhua He peeked through the gaps between the curtains hanging on his window. It was approaching dusk. The once clear blue sky now painted a lovely shade of orange; warm and vibrant, so were the clouds with some flecks of yellow still visible on the edges end. Time to go out, he thought and moved about, grabbing his woolen coat hung by the door on his way out. The wind picked up on its pace and carried some dry foliage with it to somewhere far or near. A shiver went down his spine as he skipped his his way to the forest one and a half mile away. By the time he reached the field of flowers, the moon illuminated the night sky. He pulled the coat up to his mouth, palms cupped in front of his mouth and he blew into them, the wheezing wind messed up his perfectly styled hair few moments after leaving the confines of his house.

"Bambi!" he called out, skirting around the edges. He would have vented further if it weren't for the warnings his father had yelled at him when he left earlier. "I've something new for you."

@✼ kim taehyung He should have caught the way his fingers were starting to twitch, but no, his head was still bowed, working carefully to lay the flowers atop the other, around his body. He caught words, words that belong to a gentle baritone, that is definitely not of his own. His hands pause, his eyes widen, and ever so slowly, he tilts his head up towards the man's face. He just barely catches the fading glow to his gaze, and in a blink of an eye, literally, it's gone. It's gone, and he's speaking, and Jimin feels his heart in his throat. There's a ton of embarrassment hiding behind his shaking hands, watching, hearing, him speak and move, grabbing up to the crown he'd rested on his head. Jimin's ears are ablaze with a hot, hot, /hot/ red, and his neck has taken on a mottled sort of appearance. His breath is stuttered, and a low wheeze leaves him in the place of a 'hello'.

How embarrassing, truly. He's mortified, and wishes that he had been the one laying here, presumed to be dead, instead. "I .. Was, uhm," His lips are dry, and he drags his tongue along the lower, suddenly unable to find his voice. "I, I," Stutters, all kinds of stutters, reduced to /this/, resting back on his knees and laying his hands, still holding flowers, in his lap, "I thought .. You were dead, so .. I was offering you a burial." A hush of an answer, and Jimin manages to look up to the other man. Why had he come out here? In night clothes, Jimin assumes, given his loose fitting style of dress. And... Why had his eyes been glowing? What was sweet? So many questions, but he's muted from the terror of his own stupidity. How could he have thought he was dead? His mother would be so disappointed.

@✿ park jimin It must have been in the middle of the night that Taehyung left his home, feet bare as they trekked over the village's cobblestones that eventually turn to grass and dirt. Each step was quiet and calculated, which would come as quite a surprise if anyone had seen him, for the oracle was walking with his eyes closed. In fact, upon closer inspection...why, he was sleeping! Unaware he had even left the comfort of his bed Taehyung had been guided by an invisible force over the smalls hills and valleys to the not-so-distant flower field, moonlight highlighting his features as he waded through the spindly stalks and muted buds. Once he was in the center of the field it was if he jolted awake, eyes opening for barely a second - then he collapsed into the petals, out like a light. For hours he lay, protected from bugs and animals by a warm breeze that blew through the flowers. Even when the morning sun started to rise, and a chill swept over the area, Taehyung remained in a deep state of unconsciousness.

Throughout all that time, even as a Dweller entered the field, he was receiving messages from Kutjael. Things he would have to tell the village leader once he made his way back home. After hours of this one-sided conversation he started to feel the guardian slip away from his mind, slowly bringing Taehyung back to the land of the living. At once his eyes flew open, glowing so very pale towards the sky. He barely noticed the figure next to him, Kutjatel's voice on the tip of his tongue - "So sweet..." he muttered in an echo - before disappearing completely. Now, it was just Taehyung, his eyes back to normal. Starting to sit up he realized where he was, confusion etched into his eyebrows as he felt the weight of something atop his head. That's when he noticed the Dweller next to him as well, jolting only slightly before placing a hand over his heart. "Scared me. Oh, daises, that scared me. What are you doing?" he asked, noticing the flowers gathered in the other's hands. After he'd spoken Taehyung reached up for whatever was on his head, only to bring down in his grasp a crown of flowers.

@✼ kim taehyung Gentle clicks of his tongue against his teeth sound throughout the field, accompanied only by the brush of overgrown grass against his knees, against the wind. He's got a bushel of flowers held tight to his abdomen, marigolds, honeysuckles, even the slight sprigs of lavender. A lovely array that'll do well with all of the salves he needs to start. Winter's upon them, and with the fields dying, he has to stock up as much as he can. It's then that he happens upon a man in the grass, laying prostrate, and the flowers drop from his hold. His hands grip the back of his shirt, using all the might he can to pull the deadweight off to his side, and when he presses his ear to his chest - mindful of the antler's tickling the man's chin - he doesn't detect a heartbeat. A slip of the ear, if he would have pressed his fingers to a pulse point, he'd be able to detect the dull throb of his heartbeat. But, Jimin doesn't. And that's when he starts. Gathering flowers that are just for show, with brilliant hues that should be used for dyes, and arranging them around the stranger for a proper gift to the earth, to their god, or gods. Jimin's never been well versed with villager beliefs, but. His humming is mournful, for if he weren't the one to mourn, then who would? His fingers make delicate work of the twigs and leaves and white flowers, creating a crown that will be, hopefully, brought to the next life. His head is perfect for a crown, and this man does not deserve whatever death had taken him at such a youthful age. Park Jimin, how can he be a healer when he can't tell the dead from the living?
