That is correct. You flatter me, but thank you for such kind words. Your own name is rather unique, you know. I can't say I've met another with such a name. As for myself, it's a mixture of yes and no. I'm not new /now/, but at one time I was. I came here two years ago and made a home here for myself.
Is this choice of not returning to a place yours or is it chosen by someone else? What I mean is....do you just not enjoy returning due to not enjoying said place or do you simply not wish to be remembered there? On the other hand, is it possible that others do not wish for you to return and that's why you move on? Do let me know if I'm being too intrusive. I have a cat's curiosity, you see, and it tends to get me into trouble.

Catherine... An enchanting name to match an enchanting face. I've been a resident of Halloween Town ever since I was born. Knowing you brought up the question I bet you're not new here, either. We likely never saw each other until now since I tend not to hang out in the same place more than once. Unless it's at home, of course.
rolling my eyes in an obvious manner I also draw out a light bubble of laughter in reaction to the given fact. the home I share with my lovely mother is definitely the only location that keeps an outgoing creature like myself grounded consisting of only a couple reasons: I live there and it's the safest place to hide when the dreaded rays of the sun decide to shine down. luckily the days of autumn dim the sky with it's mass of rain clouds and fog to help better things. all the while of making me happy, too, for I always adored this part of the year for multiple reasons and the weather condition being one of them.

One may look like one thing and be another, after all. Tricksters and liars were one in the same when you really thought about it. upon first observation the red cloak worn by the other could have mislead me to believe that I just met the real life version of Red Riding Hood. for all I know she might as well been for no one knows what possible secrets lie behind commonly known children's tales. same applies for the very wolf that attempted to eat the poor storybook girl. the wild creature's true identity could have been concealed due to his species of being a werewolf and judging from the features of the female stood before me; personally if I were one I wouldn't help but want to indulge myself in her, too. all assumptions aside I nod my head twice in agreement towards the other's statement prior to taking another quick scan of our surroundings.
Yeah, but at this rate we might as well count this as the graveyard. Not because it's dead silent, but cause who knows? Spirits could be wandering about and we are just unaware of their presence!
following my joke of a comment I lift my shoulders in a simple shrug before extending a hand out to initiate a proper greeting, my smile not faltering as I do so.

*rose tinted tiers curl downwards into a frown, a mixture of irritation and mild sorrow adorning my delicate features. I couldn't really be the only one here, could I? No way. It wouldn't make sense. Lithe fingers rise to gently tug the hood of my ruby cloak away from my face, revealing porcelain skin and dark eyes. Those same eyes widen in surprise at the sound of another voice, those frowning lips then forming a warm smile* I honestly thought I was the only one here. It was kind of depressing, really. I mean, I enjoy my own company as much as the next person, but some socialization would be nice too.

with quiet footing I arise from the dark abyss of night, umber eyes immediately wandering the area in curiosity to everyone's whereabouts. that is until the loud and clear tone of a female's voice turns my attention over in the direction from which I heard it. i'm grateful that I wasn't gonna spend this chill autumn evening alone unlike I could've suspected and thus I adorn my pale tiers with the usual friendly smile as I walk towards the stranger.
Just when I thought no one was around!
