@Jung Jihoon Luvian Lee is just an average girl. She lost both her parents when she was 15 and has been juggling with her life eversince. At day she goes to school and at nighy she works her off as a part timer at a cafe. Her days starts at 6am and ends at 1 am every single day. As for the weekends, she had to juggle with work and homework. With all her hardwork, she still couldn't afford to go to further her studies so she decides to work more. Now, at the age of 24, she works at 3 different place. Two restaurant and also a small cafe in Seoul. She works hard day and night just to survive everyday. Every extra penny she got every month, she would deposit it into the bank account.
As usual, today, on her day off she went to the bank and deposit her extra cash into her bank account, hoping that it would be enough for her to further her studies in the future. She walks out of the bank and sighs as it started raining. She goes back inside the bank and sits on the couch by the window, watching the raindrops on the window. She couldn't help but make a wish for a miracle to happen to her at the moment. As the rain stops, she gets up and walks out, heading her way back home and away from the busy streets.
Being the only son generally is a big responsibility, but being an only son to one of the richest families in whole S. Korea is a whole different level of responsibility. Many would think that, richness means luxurious lifestyle, travelling and partying, But not when you mention Jihoon. Being the only son to Mr. Jung, Jihoon is already the CEO of his father's banking institution, the biggest and most influential shareholder in Jung corporation, and also the founder of JJ corporation, meaning three important jobs, responsibility of thousands of employees, and most importantly his parents. All that and only being 26 years. Still a young man, probably shouldn't be having all that kind of responsibility nor the additional of a marriage, which was the cause of the meeting he was having with Mr. and Mrs. Jung.
"With all respect father, but I'm not in the position or age for marriage. I won't even have the time for a wife, or for a family." Was the male's respond to his father's request. The father only gave a small smile not even considering his son's reply. "Son, you're at the very right age for marriage, and a family. I would like to see a grandson of mine soon, and a heir to all this wealth." He paused for a few second before going on. "Besides a wife and a family would help you, would bring happiness to your life, and make you cut down on your working hours. You already work 12 to 16 hours a day"
"That's exactly why I'm not ready for marriage, besides, I had thought my marriage would be a private matter of my own"
"Not when you are the son of mine, besides you have to consider your mother, this is one of her last wishes and you should at least do this much for her"
And it was right there when his father struck, without raising a voice or threatening. Just playing on the only weak spot Jihoon had. His mother. His ill, dying mother. She had been fighting with cancer for a couple of years now, lost her weight, her smile and almost her life. And when put in that respect, Jihoon couldn't refuse or counteract. With a very small sigh almost none existence, and a mild face that was hidden every emotion behind the bland look, the male said his last words. "Very well. If that is what you think, then I'm not going to refuse. And since I'm not in any relationship at the moment, I'll trust the two of you, of finding the right woman to become my wife." With those words said, he stood up and left without waiting for anything else his parents might have to say.
