@♢ chaeyoung park whatever, he thought to himself, unlatching the frames one by one once again. a soft sigh of vexation escaped from him, looking at each photos in the frames that's planted on the walls. she was right though, he thought, it's gonna take hours to find a clue...and the key if they wanted to get the hell out of here. the female's voice caught him off guard as he turned his attention towards her. "a clue?" he cocked an eyebrow before walking towards her way by the desk. he knelt down onto the floor, looking under the desk and saw the writing. "happier...times..." he muttered, puzzled on what the 'happier times' was suppose to mean. standing back up with furrowed eyebrows, he noticed a smaller picture frame on the desk compared to the ones on the walls. reaching out for the frame with a hand, he stares at the photo. it was a photo containing jungkook and chaeyoung, when they were more happy earlier in their relationship. they were both so focused on the complications of their relationship back then, they forgot about the times when they were more content. the male set the frame back down before turning his gaze at the female, "happier times....this was the photo when we were more happier back then, wasn't it? before all of this...." the corners of his lips lifted up into a small, bittersweet smile before looking away. he scanned the frames that were left on the wall before noticing one particular photo. he squinted his eyes and pointed at the picture. "isn't...isn't that picture the same as this one on the desk?" he questioned, tilting his head slightly to the side.

@♦ jungkook jeon "Or, you could bend the over and use your own god damn hand to pick up your own ing mess." She hissed right back at his remarks, already fueled with anger, when they had barely been in the room together for barely a minute. Huffing under her breath, she fanned her cheeks til the heat that rose had slowly dissipated. "Of course I want to get this over and done with, but pulling apart every little frame and looking under every picture will take hours for goodness sake. There has to be some sort of-" Her eyes landed on the picture he held, tilting her head a bit to get a better look. Was that a necklace? Somewhere in the back of her mind, she immediately jumped to the worst case scenario. What it for another woman? Was that why he barely gave her attention? The bit of anger that welled up in her doubled, but there was also the insecurity that washed over her as well.

as she turned her head, the sound of the picture being torn echoed in her ears, but she ignored it and started looking elsewhere. she glanced around before her eyes settled on an old photo of them, huddled up together. jungkook making some dumb expression and chaeyoung not paying attention to the photo being taken. "First date.." she muttered the words under her breath before turning her head away. "There has to be something here...a clue.. anything?" she tried checking behind random photos, in picture frames. it wasn't until she peeked under the desk itself did she notice some writing. "The hell-- 'happier times'..what the hell is that supposed to mean. nearly all of them involve "happier times" ."

the now visibly frustrated woman looked over at her ex, sighing deeply before standing up once more. "found a clue- what do you think it means?"

@♢ chaeyoung park the continues sounds of frames being opened, one after another, the female's voice distracted him as he turned his attention towards her. he dropped the frame that was in his hands, since there was no key anyways, and with an irritated countenance, he spoke, "oh, since you're such a "civilized human being," he mocked her, "why don't you en pick it up then." a grating snort escaped through his lips. "you and i both know we didn't want to be in this situation, so the more quicker we find the key, the better. don't act like you don't want to get this over and done with." jungkook rolled his eyes and turned away to move on to the next frame. after not finding a key or anything, he moved on to the next one, but before he could open the frame, the photo caught the male's eyes.

it was a picture of a stainless steel silver necklace, small crystal ball attached to it with a white seed dandelion inside of it. it was suppose to be a gift that jungkook was going to give to chaeyoung. the feelings in their relationship was dissipating and when he saw this necklace in the store, he couldn't help but to buy it right away. seed dandelions were symbolized as healing and since jungkook and chaeyoung were always hurting each other, he hoped that by giving her this gift, it would in someway help mend their relationship, start anew. but that didn't happen. the day he was going to give that gift to her, was the same day they had a feud with each other. because of that, they broken up and jungkook wasn't able to get the chance to give her the gift. he still has it for some reason, but he never knew why.

jungkook shook his head from that tormented memory and quickly removed the frame, but also detaching the photo, tearing it to pieces. he didn't care if that was to bother the female, he didn't give a fat . it was in the past and both of them moved on. but why does he feel a slight pain on his chest, one that feels as if someone or something was squeezing it out.

@♦ jungkook jeon a soft sigh drifted past her lips as she glanced around the room, fully taking in the sight before them. there were pictures practically littered against the wall and framed photos decorated the desk. chaeyoung's gaze did shift over to the younger, watching as he simply opened the frames in search for the key. with a roll of her eyes, she stepped closer to the wall, looking them over. nothing stuck out to her in the slightest. pictures from old dates, photos of a bouquet of flowers jungkook had once given her, the valentine's day teddy bear that yoongi's dog somehow got a hold of; the memory of jungkook and yoongi going at it briefly because of that teddy bear flashed through her head. but just as fast as it appeared, it was gone in a flash. behind her, she could still hear the sound of frames hitting the floor and despite the fact she wanted to keep to herself, it was slowly getting annoying. "can you at least set the damn frames back on the table like a civilized human being rather than creating a mess at your feet." the words came out with a bit more malice and aggression than she intended, running her fingers through blonde locks before pulling down a few photos from the wall, looking at the back of each for any clues.

@♢ chaeyoung park the tension can be felt in the air, even though they're not speaking with each other, it was obvious enough that both of them didn't want to be in this situation. the elevator came into a complete stop as it makes it's final sound, the doors sliding opened to each end, the male looked up and noticed the basement. he took a few steps into the room from the elevator as he studied around, noticing many various frames of photos on each walls, a desk in the middle. taking a few steps more, jungkook examines a few of the frames on the wall near him, one that contained a photo of an art that he had drew, a few weeks prior to the breakup when the feelings were slowly fading. a sketch of one hand holding another, but pulling it off from it's wrist. blinking his eyes a few times before letting out a small snort and turning to scan the photos in the frames on the walls. each of it containing what resulted in the end of their relationship. "they weren't joking about these photos..." he muttered before looking back at the sketch. biting onto the bottom of his lips, he took the frame down, "might as well not waste anymore time." jungkook immediately opened the frame, only to reveal that the key was not there. he dropped the frame onto the floor and grabbed another one.

@♦ jungkook jeon she didn't dare look over towards the taller figure to her left, finding it all so uncomfortably awkward to the point where bits of moisture built up on her palms. it hadn't even occurred to her the possibility of them getting chosen as the first couple to experience hell in a box, yet here they were; a foot or two of space in between them and the only sound was the whirring of the elevator making its descent into the basement down below. they rules of how they get out of this mess had already been explained to them before hand, so at least she was aware of how to quickly end things and make an escape the moment that key was found. not one ounce of the young woman wanted anything to do with jeon jungkook and finishing this /games/ up was the fastest way to get back to doing so. just as her thoughts cleared, the elevator dings dinged, slowly creeping open to reveal the room in question.

@♢ chaeyoung park he couldn't believe that he's the first one up with his ex in this challenge. when he heard this announcement, he found it funny yet could not imagine that he would be in this situation. it could've been anyone else but her, he thought, or at least, it could've been any other ex-couple but them. it was weird seeing chaeyoung again in this place, even though they barely even talked, especially since they ended on bad terms. they haven't even spoken with each other ever since the breakup. who would've imagined that he would see her here. who would've imagined that anyone in this place would see their exes here either. he sighed, ruffling his hair with a hand as he stood in front of the elevator door. the elevator was to lead them to a basement where the challenge was going to take place, or so he's been told. he wanted to quickly get this over with as he didnt get the point of this whole "game." even if it was to maybe rekindle the relationship or whatever, or even possibly being friends, it wouldn't happen.
