-i was sitting by myself at the island, a good book in one hand, and an iced coffee in the other, until the sound of glass shattering and scattering over the kitchen floor jerked me out of my trance, and turned my head in your direction-
My goodness.
-i slip off the stool, leaving my book and coffee discarded on the island’s surface, and instinctively rush for the supplies cupboard and return with a broom in hand-
You sure know how to announce your presence, don’t you?
-hurries and sweeps the glass into a pile before anyone has a chance to cut themselves on it-
