• Sunset Strip- The 1.5 mile (2.4 km) stretch of the famous Sunset Boulevard that passes through West Hollywood, California. Became a main hangout spot for rockstars in the 70's.
• Tropicana Motel- A motel in West Hollywood where several rockstars either stayed at for a short time or just passed through. Famous female rocker Joan Jett stayed at the hotel several times.
• Studio 54- Though it no longer exists, it's legacy is still remembered. A former nightclub in Manhattan, New York City that reached its peak in the 70's. People would line up for miles just for a chance to get into the club even though it was pretty exclusive. Drugs and were rampant in the nightclub and the parties were lavish especially when they were thrown by celebrities who frequented the club. Disco was mainly played and rockstars, specifically glam rockers like Elton John frequented the nightclub. The nightclub met it's end in 1980 after the owners of the club were convicted for tax evasion.
• Gas Station- During two separate oil crises in the 1970s, Americans from coast to coast faced persistent gas shortages as the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC, flexed its muscles and disrupted oil supplies. To conserve gas, the maximum speed limit was cut to 55 miles per hour.
