@henry cavill ʷ "Why were your eyes down there professor,?" He asked, softly chuckling before humming softly at the man's words. "Oh, ok." He said, looking at the man's stance before getting into his again, his eyes glowing once more. "Ready." He stated before a moment later he dashed forward, faster than before, aiming a strike for Henry's shoulder as a miniature version of the magic circle he used earlier appeared on the forearm of his freehand to be used as a shield

@reece king ʰ "They were riding up. That's all," he said simply. Henry hummed for a brief moment and nodded. "That's not even taking into account a potential beast knocking you out of the air. So it's best to stay grounded, so you don't go flying off," he advised. He readied himself and got into stance, nodding once more for Reece to do the same. "Let's try that again." He wasn't too worried about getting hit, himself. He could take several bad blows before needing to see a nurse, after all. And it would help the young man to hit a live target.

/draws a sign in the air, a bubble shield surrounding me
This is a pretty simple spell for a shield. Just do as my hand does.
/slowly draws out the sign once again

@henry cavill ʷ "What about my shorts?" Reece asked as he stood, pulling the rapier out of the dummy with ease. He wasn't sure what the problem was, his shorts were never a real hindrance to him due to the fact he had practiced and foughy before in more restrictive clothes before like leather skirts and skinny jeans for instance. Walking over to Henry, Reece glanced at the man's sword before looking up at him. "Well... they'd have to be one really good aim to shoot when I'm moving that fast and constantly shifting directions but you're right." He said, thinking.

I do black magic if it can be applied..
*shrugs* so sure..magic for defense would be cool.

Mm. Alright, so do you want to learn something with a weapon or with magic? I could only assist so much with magic.

@reece king ʰ Henry quietly watched as Reece did fancy maneuvers around the dummy, making mental notes to himself on what could use some work. Of course he wasn't blown away, he knew the young man had used a sword before. But the use of the sword wasn't quite the issue. "Careful about your shorts, Reece," he said at first as he got up. The man unsheathed his own sword - a steel one - and gestured for Reece to stand in front of him. "It's easy to do many fancy things with magic on a still target, but say as you're bouncing around and someone shoots an arrow through your back."

Oh well he sort of said that I can't fight well..
I do have some powers and abilities but not as powerful as he is.

@luvian lee ᵈᵍ If they get hurt, they go to the nurses. We have two who are very good at what they do.

It's a combat techniques class. A starter course. Learning about weapons, how to use them, actually fighting. And yes, I sharpen everything before they're used.
/pulls out one of my swords from its sheath and admires it for a moment
Students tend to fight better when they can actually get harmed.

@henry cavill ʷ "Good." He said before a white magic circle materlised beneath his feet, his eyes glowing brighter for a moment before he dashed forward with superhuman speed, more magic circles appearing around the dummy before Reece began jumping from one mlcircle to another at incredible speed, slashing at the dummy everytime he jumped before he propelled himself into the air above the dummy. Rocketing back down l, Reece ran the rapier through the dummy while landing Inna squat.

*smiles and nods as i pull out my hand for a handshake*
so..mr. Henry, what class are you teaching?
*walks over to the swords and other weapons that you just arrange just now*
you sharpened all of them by yourself?

@reece king ʰ Leaning back as he observed, Henry took note of Reece's stance. Definitely wasn't bad. The student had some fighting experience before, which put him at a higher skill level than most who started the course, but of course, he wasn't perfect. He glanced at the glowing light on the blade then back to the young man, shrugging his shoulders. "Strong enough. They can be fixed," he figured.

@henry cavill ʷ "In that case, it's perfect." He said, a smile blossoming on his plump lips. While Reece knew what conducted were, he wasn't the best at recognizing them. Moving a few feet away, Reece nodded and turned to face the practice dummy. "Of course." He said before slipping into a stance. A moment later, his eyes began to glow with purple light as the blade of the rapier began to glow as well. "How strong are these dummies?" He asked, keeping his eyes on his target

Sadly, I've never been to hell. I'm sure it must be lovely if everyone is like you.
Not quite 1000, have a couple hundred years to go. I'm a witcher...although I'd suppose there's not a lot of us left, yes. Judging from your mention of hell, I'd guess you're a demon or a demigoddess, since you mentioned your father hiring a tutor. Interesting a demigoddess would come here.

/sets the sword in its sheath against my hip before going towards the door and runs into a small woman, blinking in momentary surprise

@reece king ʰ Henry watched as Reece picked out his sword and slashed it around a bit before sitting down on the bleachers. "Alright. And it looks like that sword is made from silver, a good conductor of magic," he said. Magic and metals were complicated. His own training, back long ago, included learning about the importance of metals in making a sword. Silver was much better for magic and the best at killing magical creatures. Simple steel sometimes wasn't enough for killing werewolves and demons. "Remember proper stance. Can't have your target hit you where it hurts."

@henry cavill ʷ Reece couldn't help but chuckle at the man's words as he stopped in front of the swords before grabbing one, doing a slashing motion to test it before humming in approval and then glancing at Henry, taking a moment to admire the man's physique before he focused on the question. "Yes, I am. I'm planning on doing some.....target practice?" He said as he began walking towards the man, a natural away to his hips as he continued to inspect the sword before looking up at Henry. "Can these swords conduct magic energy? Like is it the right material?" He asked, his head tilting slightly as he looked up at the man with a curious look in his warm brown eyes.

@reece king ʰ Just has he was prepared to get out of there, he noticed the young man going towards the rapiers. Nevermind. "I have to stay to make sure you don't hurt yourself or break anything. Plus proper equipment care," he breathed. Henry set down his things and moved one of the training dummies out to the floor. "Do you plan on practicing with the dummies?," he asked. Despite working at the university for god knows how long, he didn't exactly find himself captivated with the whole 'being a mentor' aspect of it. He'd rather just show the techniques, watch the students, give feedback, and be on his way. Far too often did students try to schmooze their way for a higher grade or some other inappropriate relationship. It made him all too aware of these interactions.
