@β mingi Now, Seonghwa was stoked to take a sip of the glass of scotch that awaited him, way more stoked about this little beverage than about the game, even. Baccarat was boring, in Seonghwa's opinion, at least - it was one of the games that didn't require any skill. Instead of simply responding with his address or the district he lived in, Seonghwa started to give Mingi the directions of the way to his place. As for his job? Well, he told him what he told everyone - "I'm the head of an alternative pharmacy company", he joked, and the whole table began to laugh, because everyone here knew who Seonghwa was. "Look. my father owns a business, my mother owns a business. I followed my mother's footsteps and now work in the pharmacy sector, as she's one of the biggest people there." Technically, he wasn't lying /that/ much when he said it like that.
@α seonghwa Once the waiter left mingi turned his attention back to seonghwa and the game. It seemed that they were sitting at a baccarat table which mingi was thankful for because baccarat was easy according to what he read online. And it seemed that another round was about to start. “I guess it’s time to play...”, he joined the round and the game started.. and a friendly chat could start along with it. “So, where do you come from and what do you work as?”, he asked the man next to him.
@β mingi Seonghwa couldn't help but to smirk at the way Mingi now asked him to place his order in the most formal way possible ㅡ although he'd just told him how popular he was around here. "the usual for me, please", he simply spoke in a calm tone.
@α seonghwa Of course he noticed the flinch. And it signaled him that he’d have to tone it down a little. He couldn’t risk blowing this whole thing up because he got careless. He only had one chance after all. „Great~“, he smirked softly, looked around and waved a waiter closer that happened to pass by. He watched enough movies to know how casinos worked after all. „I’ll have a glass of Henny on ice please.. and the Gentleman next to be wants...?“, with a raised brow he turned his head back to seonghwa again.
@β mingi seonghwa shook his head dismissively as he expressed his gratefulness through words. "oh, please. no need to thank me. it's not a big deal, or something."
he only nodded in response to his introduction - it didn't matter too much to seonghwa what he did for a living, let alone his name, he just felt like there wasn't much else he could do to keep the conversation inheresting.
"drinks, you say?", he muttered pensively, brows raised as he thought, "one round, yes, i'm in for one round. i've had a glass already." seonghwa mearly flinched when he touched his knee, as he wasn't exactly prepared for it. well, maybe he'd have to keep an eye on this guy, he seemed to have approached him with an intention. did he want drugs? what did he want?
@α seonghwa “Thank you...”, he bowed his head a bit, soft smirk on his lips. “My name is Mino and I’m officially an MD Investment Banker~“ He seemed pretty proud of that but of course it was just a lie. It was his cover. A well put together one too because mingi loved coming up with stories and all that stuff. Quite the creative guy. “Oh I’m sure I’ll come here more regularly now that you oh so kindly gave me this opportunity, seonghwa-ssi... let me invite you to a round of drinks for that kind gesture...!” He subtly touched the others knee in a kind manner which really was just breaking the skin ship dam.
@β mingi seonghwa's brows raised as the stranger started talking. "mh, i understand... congratulations on your promotion. what business do you work for?", he asked, seriously intrigued by the other male's overall appearance. there was something about him that made him stand out, he seemed nothing like the people that have been visiting this place ever since seonghwa did.
"a regular-" he couldn't help but to release a light hearted laugh at that, nodding; "you could say so, i can be found here quite a lot."
seonghwa simply placed the glass on the table, not wanting to come off as rude by drinking without him.
"seonghwa", he then spilled his name quietly, "ask for me if you do decide to come here more often. if you come as my companion, you're more likely to get a seat."
@α seonghwa The amount of pheromones in the room was insane and there had never been a situation in Minho’s life where he’d been more thankful for being a beta than right now because it didn’t affect him as badly as it could affect alphas or omegas.
The tall male was a bit surprised when seonghwa offered the spot right next to his... with all those people trying to get into his pants around him he’d expected the other to be a bit more dismissive. Well, gotta use every opportunity you can. So now it was even more important to not come off like those many others that seemed to share a goal somewhat similar to his. “Thank you”, he replied and sat next to the other. The way seonghwa seemed to have checked him out didn’t go unnoticed and mingi felt pride. Pride from the fact that seonghwa actually got interested in him. “Oh I only recently moved here... I’m from the (insert district different from seonghwas but still expensive and known for business men????) district. I got promoted and now I’m here~ maybe my face will become familiar soon...”
He looked at the table and the game they were playing. Mingi didn’t go to casinos. He didn’t have the money to play with it like that. He did know some of the games played at casinos tho, he knew enough to fake himself through a few rounds without looking suspicious. Because mingi wasn’t necessarily stupid. His mind just worked differently from others. He found his own patterns and methods. “So I’m assuming you’re a regular here? And a popular one on top of that I’m assuming based on the amount of people huddling around you..”
@β mingi the mixture of sweet, flowery scents truly messed with seonghwa's patience as he called security on some really obnoxiously obvious omegas that were now fighting over him just a few feet away, annoyance flashing in his eyes as he turned back to his glass of whiskey, and the brown liquid swirled around in the glass as he created a tiny version of a vortex as he shook the glass restlessly, lost in thoughts. that was until a deep voice interrupted his trail of thoughts - and seonghwa simply nodded before he turned his head to give him a quick once-over. seonghwa recalled the brand of his suit, decided he had taste, and his chair to face him completely.
it wasn't an unusual occasion to him that random people approached him here, not at all. after all, seonghwa came here a lot, he recognized the people that came here a lot, and he knew how desirable he was - and how desired he actually was, and the previous situation with those omegas was just one example of the low folk trying to get past the security controls simply by wearing expensive attire to try and woo him.
"not at all, come sit here." he gestured over to the chair next to his own and raised his glass to take a small sip. once again, the alpha let his gaze trail over his features briefly. "how come i've never seen you around here?", he asked as he directed his gaze towards the liquid in his glass again; "what district are you from?"
seonghwa was pretty sure he'd never encountered the man before, and he knew about everyone in his neighborhood quite well, he'd like to think. instead of asking for names, he preferred relevant information about his encounterments - he wasn't good with names, therefore they weren't necessarily relevant to him.
@α seonghwa Today Mingi dug our his Sunday’s best. The one shot he owned and treated like a treasure among the trash he called his home. It was a black suit with two buttons, black dress pants, clean black dress shoes and a black dress shirt. All black, all sleek, looking clean and fresh as . He styled his brown hair back but letting it a bit fluffy at the same time. The top two buttons of his shirt were undone and he even dig out his most expensive cologne. All in all: tried to make himself look as if he didn’t live in the poorest part of town. Adding a nice watch he deemed himself ready, grabbed his phone and left to hit up the towns most popular yet most dangerous casino because he was looking for a certain someone. A certain alpha.
Once there it wasn’t too hard to spot the man. He was extremely handsome and knew how to be charming so naturally a bunch of boot ers gathered around him without really gambling with him... just there to try and get into his pants. Idiots.
Mingi went over to that table and gave the man playing there a kind yet mysterious smile. “Mind if I join you?” Man he was so good at pretending not to be a complete up of a person.
