Ballroom

Wonpil was never going to bet with any of the members of TZ again, for it had ended with him walking into a ball, the itch of a coming heat heavy under his skin and the clothing he was wearing, fitted black slacks with an equally fitted wine-red button-up and a black blazer and tie, were articles he would not have chosen to wear on his own accord. By someone else's insistence he was wearing a thin chain bracelet around one of his wrists and earrings, makeup dabbed onto his face -- he wanted to murder everyone he saw, fingers itching to wrap around the knives he had tucked away on his person and just start /hacking/ at flesh.

But he behaved himself, walking into the ballroom with the mastered guise of a beta slid back into place, scent blockers active and working -- for now. Wonpil didn't know how long it would be until preheat, or actual heat, would seep through the blockers and give him away.

He didn't want to be there, but he swiped a drink from a server and continued on his path anyway, scanning the ballroom for anyone that he knew in order to avoid them all. If someone got the idea he was there to find a mate...

@α Johnny S. Jaemin was surprised to see a few of the police officers he had become acquainted with at the ball, and felt genuinely embarrassed by their compliments about ‘how nicely he cleaned up’ and looked “good enough to mate”. Jaemin watched Johnny from the corner of his eye. He wondered how long the other was going to ignore him. But before he could roll his eyes in annoyance a head of black hair came into his line of sight. “I just had to tell you how lovely you looked.” Jaemin remained quiet, not even nodding in acknowledgement. “I’m Eunhyun the heir to this estate. I’d love to give you a tour, or rather a break from all this completely deserved, but I imagine rather overwhelming attention.” Jaemin raised a brow skeptical of the man’s claim of being an heir as well his intentions. ”Champagne?” Eunhyun offered and Jaemin finally noticed the glass the man was holding, he hadn’t seen him pull it from a tray while they had been speaking, which means he had held onto it for some time. Jaemin was a bit more skeptical and critical than most of Neo Seoul’s elite, so a stranger offering him a drink and attempting to get him alone, raised red flags. “No thank you, I’ve already drank a lot.” Jaemin said clutching his head, Eunhyun’s hand immediately settled on his lower back to steady him. “Then allow me to take you somewhere you can rest.” Jaemin had to use all of his willpower not to look at Johnny. He had a weapon and maybe being seen leaving with the stranger would make his mate stop ignoring him. “Lead the way.” Jaemin said forcing a smile. “I’ll bring you a glass of water to help you sober up.” Eunhyun said and Jaemin fought the urge to roll his eyes, there was no way the man was going to drug him, but damn if he wasn’t trying.

Johnny was completely aware of Jaemin being there, but chose to ignore him for the time being - if the beta wanted to play that game and ignore his hopes of talking, not to mention covering up his mate mark, then he was going to do the same in return. Except he wasn't covering up his own scar, which had many people quickly changing directions when they got close enough to see that he had been all but properly claimed. He ran a hand through his hair and snatched a drink up from a passing server before passing by Jaemin again, ignoring the way his blood boiled as he flirted with other alphas. Even accidental, there was still a bite mark made from /his/ teeth on his neck, and it pained him to see it covered up.

@α Johnny S. Jaemin was aware of Johnny’s arrival, he was always vaguely conscious of where the alpha was located in proximity to himself. It was something that comforted him as much as it annoyed him. Jaemin wanted nothing more to grab Johnny bu the tie and force him down to eye level and ask him how he thought he could just waltz right past him without sparing him a second glance especially when he looked as good as he did, but that was what the alpha expected and anticipated so instead Jaemin just shrugged and flashed a flirty smile to a group of alphas he could see gazing over his body hungrily. There was some beta that was marching straight towards Johnny with a predatory grin and Jaemin instinctively reached for his weapon before sighing to calm himself. He noticed a server carrying champagne and cornered them holding his blade to their throat and instructing them to spill every last drop on that beta. The server rushed off shaking so badly after their encounter that Jaemin was sure they would have spilled even if he hadn’t instructed them to. He tried to seem disinterested as the beta rushed out with an angry huff, though he couldn’t help the pleased smirk that danced over his lips. The alpha currently talking his ear off not getting the hint he wasn’t interested.
“Your dad drives a white BMW right? I blew him in it once, I remember he had a picture of you in his sun visor, you were a cute kid.” Jaemin said completely bored, watching as disgust flashed over the man’s features and he excused himself.

@β Jaemin N. Contrary to his /mate/ (something that Johnny still beat himself up for), the alpha had no qualms about walking in with a suit that just reached under the scar of Jaemin's name on his scent gland, moving inside and ignoring the stares that followed after him. He kept his back straight as he passed by Jaemin, noticing his scent but not offering him a second glance since the other had hidden his bite mark.

Jaemin wasn't fond of the social elite of Neo Seoul. He had never previously attended a ball and had never intended to. But after learning that several of the other dancers at the club would be attending as well as a few of his own gang members, Jaemin decided it'd be at the very least entertaining to go. He told no one he would be in attendance and even made a point to seem uninterested when others spoke about it. It made it all the more satisfying when he showed up in a sheer fitted black top, high neckline that covered his mating mark, and plunging cut out that left most of his back exposed the fabric still not joining as it dipped past the waist band of his pants, a pair of slacks, simple yet tightly fitted with sheer paneling on the sides that matched the one of his top. Jaemin smirked as hushed whispered flooded the room upon his entrance.
