@✑ lee jaehwan *screws her face up, instantly cringing at the cute version of her name*
Ah, stop! I hate that, you know that
*she complains, covering her face to keep from having to see the inevitable aegyo*
Babies don't knowingly flip off the camera in a training video and get it taken down for re-editing. You're nowhere near baby
@✑ lee jaehwan *pauses, straw halfway to her lips, and glances at the camera crew at the far side of the room as if the question 'baby?' she then looks back at him with the same look, brows raised*
uhh, not to pry or anything, jyan, but I've known you for what...? three years? four?
and I've never even heard about you have capades, let alone a serious relationship.
what baby?
@✑ min dohee *snorts at your expression*
Wait, I didn't even confirm anything-
But yes
*nods solemly*
Rip to his computer because he didn't use malware protection, not even a private browser which is a whole monster in and of itself but I'm not complaining. I gotta work to support the baby
@✑ lee jaehwan *gasps softly, spoon-midway to as she tries to think over the people who had big system wipes in the past week*
Really? Was it..
*mouths the name of a member of marketing team after giving the area a quick scan to make sure the coast was clear*
Eyy, I always figured he didn't have enough sense to use blockers
*she says, sitting back in her seat and crossing her arms in amusement*
@✑ min dohee Repentenace-
*cuts myself off with a chuckle before clapping my hands together, lighter this time, and leaning forward in faux conspiracy to stage whisper*
Okay, you didn't hear this from me but a certain someone on the marketing team just had to get their system factory reset due to a virus
@✑ lee jaehwan Oka-
*jumps at the clap, feeling it ring in her ears. she then lets out a whine*
Ah, why? Why so loud?
*she complains, sticking a pinky in her ear as if it'll stop the ringing*
Hurry, repentance, tell me about people's computers
@✑ min dohee *instantly relaxes, shoulders visibly slumping*
Okay!
*I let out hearitly, giving a loud clap of my hands before eating at a normal, casual pace*
I can work with that~ It's gonna be a good day, I'm excited
@✑ lee jaehwan *snorts and reaches over, plucking a piece of fruit from his lunch*
Ahh having reservations now? Alright, alright
*pops it into and chews, bringing a hand to cover while speaking*
Let's go at...maybe 9? We should pack or buy lunch and eat when we get to the peak
@✑ min dohee C-catching the sunrise?
*now its my turn to protest, a big pout on my lips*
That sounds like waking up before normal people do and I don't think I can do that. I'll die! Like a fairy when you forget about her, I'll die! WIll you be responsible for my death?
@✑ lee jaehwan *bites the inside of her cheek to hold a smile at bay, though her eyes clearly light up at the mention of going hiking. she pokes around in her food though, in the name of keeping up appearances and the initial protest against doing anything besides writing*
OKay, fine
*she finally concedes, allowing the smile to grow on her features*
Let's go hiking...maybe super early and we can catch the sunrise? That'd be fun~
@✑ min dohee *leans forward in anticipation, my food clearly forgotten in the conversation*
*when your reply is favorable, I let out a hoot of satisfaction and do a little fist pump*
Let's go on a hike! You love hikes, I love seeing little animals, it's perfect
*finally takes a bite of my sandwich, humming thoughtfully while I chew*
Let's do Saturday. And maybe we should do it in the morning..
@✑ lee jaehwan *sighs deeply, slumping a touch in her seat, as she knows it'd be a completely useless waste of energy to argue. instead, she eats another spoonful of rice and even takes the time to wash it down before giving a dignified response*
Uuugh I just wanna stay home and try to finish this thing, you ..
Where are we going then? And what day? Ah, I really hate you
@✑ min dohee Hole yourself up? But that's booooring
*I respond, a pout quickly settling on my lips*
Balance that work/play life. Finish what you're doing by dinner, I'll drop by and we can hang out, mh?
*looks at you with puppy-dog eyes, willing you to agree and completely disregarding the ball being thrown in my court*
@✑ lee jaehwan Ahh
*chuckles, an amused smile crossing her visage*
My screenplay....thingy? That's going..wellish..esque. I'm stuck, but that always happens so
*shrugs*
I'm probably going to do a lot this weekend. Hole myself up in the apartment and just write, even if I hate it. I can't edit words that aren't there
Anywayy, that's boring.
*gestures to him with her spoon speaking before popping it in *
Tell me something cool, Jyani. I know you've seen some wild stuff on people's computers
@✑ min dohee As much as I love hearing about your bad customer stories, I meant your other word
*reaches over to lightly nudge your forehead with a knuckle, eyes crinkling in amusement at my own action*
I mean your writing, thingy - your screenplay...thingy
*stabs the straw into my Coolpiss and sips from it*
How's that going?
*makes a show of slamming my palm on the table, softening the blow just before contact*
Weekly progress report, stat!
@✑ lee jaehwan *lifts her brows to show acknowledgement while sipping from her tea*
Jyani jyani jyani~
*she finally responds, in a more spoken form of the same tune and not nearly as loud. she shrugs, shoving a spoon of multigrain rice into *
Iss awright, a few ridiculous customers but that's nothing
*comes the food-muffled response and she fixes her gaze on him*
What about you?
@✑ min dohee Calorie, calorie, calorie~ Calorie, calorie, calorie~
*walks into the canteen while singing my hook-only rendition of the Coffeeboy song of the same name*
*it, reasonably, earns a few dirty looks from those looking for peace but I keep going, even through the process of procuring food and scanning the room for my one and only lunch buddy*
*upon spotting you, I switch gears to singing your name in the same tune as I walk to the table*
Do-do-hee Do-do-do-dohee~
*I greet, easily slipping into the seat next to you and beginning to dismantle the neat arrangment of my lunch boxes*
How's work?
@✑ kim dongyoung [] I'm dropping in canteen cause LET THIS COFFEE SAGA BEGIN!
It's upto you whether doyoung personally witnesses it or is informed by their co-workers?
He knew himself better than anyone yet here he was asking his colleague whether he could brew himself his favourite tea —insightful of him to stash his favourite brand under his desk— to ease the stress. New environment meant, more stress. Making acquaintances and maintaing a healthy working relationships required energy. Too much, he might add. "Thank you—" He beamed, finding the the pot to boil down water, meanwhile he poured himself half a cup of coffee from the leftover coffee pot. "What the f— who drinks coffee this sweet? Is it even coffee?" He spat into the basin, frowning. "Disgusting." He eyed the rest as he washed it down the drain. "Should I ..make the coffee? You all seem to drink it so much."
@✑ lalisa manoban Doyoung is NOT clumsy. He is dignified, a member of the working class society. He is not the type of person to accidentally trip on air and have his lunch tray go flying out of his hands, only to land on another co-worker as Doyoung himself crashes to the floor - nose first. (He is definitely the type of person to do that. It happened, just now.) The co-worker currently covered in what was supposed to be his lunch shrieks, and Doyoung cringes while lifting from the floor, pain radiating from his nose and something wet dripping over his philtrum. Oh, , is his nose bleeding? . "I'm sho sorry." he tries to say, but it comes out nasally and thick as he pinches his nose, hoping to stop the blood flow enough to get to a ing nurse or something.
[ up to you if the lunch-covered co-worker is lali or someone else btw ! ]
"No," Lalisa answers gravely as she answers the question posed on the other end of the phone, "No... No, it's not like that." She was sure she had been away from her desk for well over the paid-break time allotted to every employee here. Lalisa, as the sole accountant in the office today, felt the pressure a little more than usual, but this wasn't a call she could get out of easily.
"No no, I'm listening- I'm here, I just-- I'm at work, so I'm a little distracted," she answers the sharp voice, and looks around for help--/any/ excuse she could to get out of this mess.
