*she repeats, brows lifting briefly before furrowing in thought*
Mm...well, it just felt sad.
*she answers bluntly, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear and idly tossing the rest*
We didn't have much chance to get to know him, but it felt sad that he left without notice and wasn't able to have a proper goodbye or send off! Even though he'll end up seeing this a week or two late, I want him to get the proper goodbye that a housemate should get
*nods firmly*
I would do it for everyone if I have to and...if it came down to me, I think I'd want something nice too
*laughs, bringing a hand up to , in cringe at herself*

Yumi enters the room after having some time to relax and make herself somewhat at home. Her dressy clothes when she isn’t getting ready to leave for classes are such a stark difference from what she normally wears, thin fabric that’s easily breathable and flexible to fit her daily rigmarole for dance. She bows to the crew with all of the respect that she can muster in the limited space then the tec team swiftly move to her and connect a mic with a power box. That alone hooks on the side of her clothes and another clamp that connects to a small piece of fabric on her dress, taking a seat. “Hhh~ hello hello...I am 23 year old classically trained ballerina, Min Yumi..” her voice faint but steady in its soft timbre, a sound that is calming like a ballad and warm like sun when it’s raising in the early mornings. “Please treat me well~...” she grins at the camera, not to much and not to little, the perfect amount of smize that didnt seem creepy just practiced. Conscience of her posture and how her legs would be even though the camera shot is not low enough to see the lower body. She sits in the plush chair like it’s not the first time nor will it be the last like her mere being was seasoned. The interview starts with the first question, “ah...yes I have..since I was accepted into a performance arts academy, I have a dance mate who lives with me in the dorms...” she nods her head as If that is a way to punctuate a sentence, her eyes shift from the interviewer and the large lens in front of her. Is it a little hot? or maybe she’s just cold and the temperatures adjusting are just making it damp? I don’t know...she considers the lights must be the culprit and totally not her nerves. Next question. “I feel good actually!..um-..” Yumi clears again towards the end, her voice sputters suddenly and she realizes that she needs to have more control. A critique always given when she dances but she’s not much for applying critiques. At least she tries. “I’m excited to see how our different personalities mingle together and somehow be entertaining for the viewers...” this time the grin is forced but still sweet. Another question. The woman takes it in with a stride...why does she want to be here? And it echos a bit when her head goes empty without a thought. “...- I’ve never really been able to make friends outside of dance so I figured this would be the best way to immerse myself and just go for it...” That was the worst answer to give. She tightens her lips and the tint is practically dry and doesn’t budge, a reaction thats usually calming but now it doesn’t ease the nerves at all. Okay you can do this yumi, another one. “I would love to go out...or have nights where we just mingle together especially at a noraebang. Being friends with everyone is still one of my biggest goals for us...” she nods her head again since that answer seemed like a good believably solid want, something she could never admit to do with her friends at the academy, but anyways. This is draining, she supposes. Last question. “Oh! I can turn my arms all the way around...” something natural about herself that wouldn’t be completely scripted and planned like the other answers were. Immediately she leans forward and place her arms on the table in front of her and slowly does the left arm, rotating the limb a full 360 degrees, making her shoulder protrude oddly that would probably need a trigger warning for bone dislocation or the like. The camera crew react suddenly with ahh’s and ehww’s from the sight of Yumi’s hyperextended shoulder. “It doesn’t hurt either...” she turns the left back to its correct position then does the same with the right. A few minutes of awkward silence later, the woman, although she did such a thing, never lost her elegance and poise. “That’s pretty much it..” Posture straighter than a ruler even while she leant on the table for her trick. The interviewer says it’s a wrap and how they’ll leave that part in up until the last second. The cameras cut. “Ughh thank god-....” voice worn from the strain of keeping it sweet and flowing. The once prestigious young woman faded away to some heap of muddle, her back thrown against the chair to finally relax, she scratches her scalp almost violently with the way the neat bun falls apart before everyone’s eyes. The show crew who were once moving about to get ready for the next scene, stop yet again to watch such a unprecedented sight. Yumi slouches over and crooks her legs so they no longer stick together uncomfortably in the long dress, spreading them as if a dad of four children would behave in his 10 year old recliner. Here before them, the Min Yumi, who the world perceived to be snooty and uptight and smug and high class and...and all those things has just disappeared into some unfamiliar face. When the baffled eyes come into view she freezes up in a second, “what?”. Then she realizes that they must not know. “Ooh...”

/peeks inside the room packed with a few cameras and a few crew members lingering around, before stepping in fully, bending his upper body into a few quick bows to the staff as he makes his way to his spot and settles down on the seat provided in front of the cameras. at the request of a welcome message and a self introduction, he nods eagerly, a friendly smile already growing on his face/

/he flashes a smile as he gives a brief bow to the camera and holds up a hand in greeting/
Nice to meet everyone and please take care of me well
/chuckling good-naturedly, he drops his hand back onto his lap before nodding at the question, then tilting his head quizzically as he starts to answer/
Both yes and no! I have lived alone ever since graduating high school, but I've had roommates whenever my friends decide to crash at my place for a few nights, or when I joined MT trips or company training trips. None of those ever lasted longer than a week, so I guess that's a.. no? Or is it still a yes?
/he trails off unsurely, a confused expression on his face which seems to make the staff laugh too, and for that, his gratitude is obvious through his slightly embarrassed yet pleased smile/
I'm excited, of course! Ah was that too eager of me? People might feel burdened if someone suddenly barges in all excited and loud, right? But don't worry, I promise I'm a chill person.
/he exclaims excitedly at the inquiry of the next question, his tone slightly higher than earlier and even sitting up straighter as words shoot out of him rapidly before calming down a little, trying to remain cool and civil so he doesn't ramble off again. at that, a new round of laughter breaks off between the crew members and he laughs sheepishly/
Can't deny I also feel a little nervous, but in a good way! I've been on a few broadcast programs and I'm not too unfamiliar with cameras and recording process, but it'd surely feel different with cameras everywhere around the house, filming every little move and moments. That said, please edit any ungraceful and embarrassing moments of me later on~
/he says, grinning knowingly as he makes a scissor cutting motion with his fingers and nods at the camera, earning himself a round of little chuckles from the crew members. at the next question, he pauses for a second to consider his answer before speaking up/
I think it'd be really fun to see such a diverse group of people from various backgrounds, literally strangers trying to live together and it'd be interesting to see how the chemistry builds up and stuff. Personally I've always liked learning stuff about people, making new friends so this is just the perfect opportunity that I couldnt say no to when I first received the offer.
/he brightens up once again at the next question, immediately pulling his phone up to open his notes app, turning the screen towards the camera for a split second to show his entire " to-do list with roomies ^^"/
I've got an entire list prepared ever since I'm confirmed for the show! And the list is still growing! Here's some of it— and the first one is definitely a must for me personally: Cooking for the entire cast, and at least once for all the crew members. Sleeping together in the living room. Camping trip with barbecue and rolling paper event. And here's one of my favourite: make everyone draw one cover art each for one episode each of my webtoon. Oh and we definitely can't leave the classics out: surprise birthday party, gift exchange event, the like. There's still a few more but I'll leave those for the next time
/he reads some out loud, before glancing at the staff members and immediately holds out his hand as if to reassure/
Now don't worry! Please don't feel obliged to prepare anything for me, I'll manage on my own! I like to do things for people, so I might have been a little too extra on the list
/he grins sheepishly, before laughing a little incredulously at the following question, surprise evident on his face from being caught off guard/

wait i just remembered, i used to imitate pikachu sometimes when i was hanging out with my friends.
/takes a deep breath as if to prepare himself, and bursts out laughing a little mostly out of nervousness and also undeniable embarrassment/

/trying his best to remember how he used to do back in the day, he tries to impersonate the cutesy voice and shakes his body a little as if being electrocuted, his eyes rolling back a little. he straightens up and glances at the crew, and static silence fills the air for a beat before almost all at once, laughter fills up the small room again and he laughs, covering his face with both hands in embarrassment./
pd-nim, you know what to do, right~?
/makes the earlier scissor cutting motion with his hand again, grinning before nodding at the request of any final words as the interview comes to an end/
thanks again to everyone for having me on this show and I promise to show a new side of me. to new roomies, let's get along well~
/with that he gives a final brief bow to the camera before standing up from his seat, waving goodbye to the crew and making his way out/

“This way please Nari-ssi.”

“Oh, just Lily please, thanks!” Spoke the petite girl, sauntering into the room. She came to find herself in a private little space, a chair before her as well as the camera crew that was on standby until the little ‘interview’ commenced. Taking comfort in the chair, Nari waited for the camera crew to give her the cue, and when the little button turned red she gave a small smile.

“Rock your heart out! Hi everyone, my name is Moon Nari, but most of you viewers may probably know me as Lily, the 24 year old drummer from The Ruby Janes!”

As a habit, she began to gently drum her fingertips along the side of her chair.

“I suppose so? I mean, our band lived together for a while so we lived in dorms so we did have to accommodate and share rooms for a while.”

“I think I’m very excited about participating in ‘Roomies’, there’ll be such a diverse group of people so it’ll be nice to get to know them and I’ve never done something like this so…yeah! Um— I think the next question can reinforce my previous sentiment but I just wanted to do something different, have a nice experience and live with people who are different from the ones I’m accustomed to?”

She takes a moment before her next answer, biting her lower lip as her gaze lowers for a second, pondering on her wording. “As far as goals, I’d like to make friends of course, but maybe introduce them to our music? Unlike k-pop idols, k-rock bands on the other hand don’t usually get a lot of exposure so I want to show everyone here a new side of The Ruby Janes and hopefully give that exposure to other bands and this genre of music.”

“So— wow ok not many people know this but when I was in school I was captain of the cheer team so I am very flexible, here get a load of this.”

She stands from her seat and her legs part without hesitation to complete a full split with ease.

“Ta-dah!” Nari then stands, dusting of her shorts and bows. “Can’t do any crazy tricks here but I hope that was kind of cool. Thanks to everyone for watching, I’m really lookin’ forward to participating in ‘Roomies’ to show you a new side of Lily, until next time!” With a toothy grin and giving a shaka sign with her left hand she waits until the filming comes to an end before thanking the staff once again and making her way out.

/slowly, he looks inside the room, not being all that surprised at all the cameras and staff around since he is used to giving out interviews for the e-sports world. with a smile, dimples showing, and a bow of his head, he greets everyone there before taking a seat and then focuses his attention on the camera.

I did.. when I first started the whole pro player thing, I used to live in a gaming house with another six or seven players, but for at least two whole years now I live alone.
/he nods once, briefly glancing at the staff member who gives him the next question and then, he slightly purses out his lower lip in thought
Hmm... I feel excited..? It's a whole new experience, I'm definitely excited, yes~
/this time around, he chuckles sheepishly because its quite clear that he himself is unsure about his answer but he is quick to shrug it off and proceed to the next question
I want to help promoting more the e-sports world, I figured that by joining a show like this and having people seeing that it's not just 'sit there and play a game' they'll start taking it all more seriously, like any other jobs.
/then, he is right back into his thinking mode at the next question, this time it takes a little longer, about a minute for him to finally laugh, giving the camera a small shrug of his shoulders
To make more friends definitely but to enjoy the whole thing with whatever happens. And, what? A talent?
/he scoots a little closer to the staff to make sure he heard well before he sighs softly, playfully mumbling but loud enough to be heard.
You guys are so not ready to this...
/he then gives the camera a thumb up, only to a second later use his other hand to pull his thumb all the way back until it touches his wrist.
Believe it or not... I broke it once while playing and it never went back to normal...
/he trails off with a chuckle, bowing slightly at the camera and at the staff again as the interview came to an end

*peeks into the small room, packed tight with a couple of cameras, their operators, some lights, and a sole writer standing in as the interviewer*
Oh—! Hello, hi
*she exclaims, and then greets, upon being spotted and beckoned in. she enters, giving little polite bows to each person as she makes her way to the director's chair set up. once it looks like she's settled, the writer immediately launches into the interview*
"Hi! We're so happy to have you as a resident of the Roomies house. First, so the audience can know you well, could you introduce yourself?"
*the woman gestures to the main camera, prompting the girl to address it*
Ah— sure! Hi, I'm 19-year-old Kwon Mirinae and I'm a professional pansori storyteller and gayageum player
*she introduces, bowing briefly to the camera*
"Great, nice to meet you Mirinae-ssi! So, have you ever lived with a roommate before?"
*starts to shake her head before tilting it*
No— well— kind of? I have an older sister! Me and Yeseul unnie have always shared a room because our parents house isn't that big. So, it's kind of the same thing, right?
"Yes haha, it's kind of the same thing. I'm sure you two get into silly argument and things just like strangers could. So, how do you feel now that you're a roomie?"
I'm excited! Though...a little bit nervous, I guess?
*chuckles sheepishly, tucking some hair behind her ear*
I hope that we all get along well and that I don't make things really awkward. I'm not familiar with these kind of settings and being directly in front of cameras is still new to me
"Aw, don't worry, Mirinae-ssi! I'm sure everything will go swimmingly! Can I ask: why did you want to be a roomie in the first place?"
Hm..honestly, I think this will be a good opportunity for me! I'm very very new to the whole..
*gestures vaguely*
everything. It used to just be me doing little festivals and concerts in rural areas and this is a whole lot different. I think it's something that I want to experience with other people and, since my sister does't play anymore, I'm hoping the other roomies can be those people
"Ooh, that's interesting! I'm sure the other roomies would be happy to help an industry junior along. Speaking of the other roomies, is there anything you're excited for? Or...do you have any goals or things that you would like to do with them?"
*she brightens considerably, having thought about things of that nature since signing up*
I have a lot I want to do! Mostly, I'd like to have a camping barbeque. I think that would be really fun..and, uh, at least one surprise birthday party but if we can do everyone's that would be great too! I also like gardening—probably because I grew up farming—I would want to start and grow a garden with the others that we can all be proud of hehe
*the interviewer nods along with interesting, even making mental notes of things before setting her clipboard down to give her full, undivided attention*
"We'll keep those in mind! Now, here's a fun question. Mirinae-ssi, do you have any interesting talents that you can show us? We'd love to see anything"
*laughs incredulously, repeating "an interesting talent?" in the same way*
Uhm, let's see...ooh! I can perfect match the notes of anything on gayageum.
*waves her hand*
Without sheet music or anything! Though, I didn't even bring my 12-string...
*she trails off, a small pout forming on her lips*
"We have one for you! The Roomies team is always prepared"
*the writer speaks up, laughing toward the end and asking for someone to go get the instrument. in her surprise, she watches as another staff member comes in with the instrument in a case and stands to receive it. after a few moments of preparation and quickly testing, she looks up to the writer from the floor*
Okay, what should I do?
*she asks with a small grin, fingers poised at the strings. the showcasing of her talent goes on for a few more minutes, where she impresses with a perfect match of a VJ's ringtone, a couple of iconic movie quotes (their nuances, specifically), and the traditional kakaotalk notification tone. it's met with due praise before the interview is briefly but neatly brought to its end*
