@park jisung As much as she loved the idea of being a complete nuisance to Haechan, today was not the day. The man had just embarrassed himself in front of dozens of fellow idols and staff alike and she heartlessly laughed at him, then watched the most, in her opinion, disgusting display of public affection and lost the last packet of skittles. Haechan's day was downright tragic. No, she had to stop this. "Wait, wait, no you can't go there!!" she hisses at her friend, squeezing his fingers and tugging him towards her to stop him from getting ahead. "We can't go to the vending machine, they're beefing there-" no beefing wasn't the right word, "there's a storm brewing there and we should avoid it." she tells him in all seriousness.
@lee donghyuck@choi san she'll admit that the faint tug on her heart upon her lover's dispirited words were nearly enough for her to backtrack on her reconciliation (?) with donghyuck, especially knowing how much the older disliked the idea of her initial friendship with him, unsecured with how close they once were — but those memories, they're exactly why she urges herself to continue on. at least with san, her days end curled up in his arms, but with haechan, she barely gets the luxury of seeing him, not that she deserves it though. and she realizes this within the bitterness that coats his tone and as he contemplates his next choice of candy — he was still angry at her and despite san's attempt at convincing her that /he/ was the one that did not deserve her attention, she can't help but feel as if it was the other way around. as he retrieves his pair of twix from the vending machine, her brow quirks up in question, before his next words reach her ears.
ah.
"sometimes favorites change," she repeats after him, not to agree, but just to hear it once more — and she can't help the mere drop of her heart to her stomach. "i feel like we aren't necessarily talking about candy anymore." her lips purse into a thin line forcefully to refrain from frowning, her gaze flashing back to that of san as he's settled onto a chair, waiting for her. as he apologizes to her, and offers to extend his words to the latter, she shakes her head, sporting that polite, yet despondent, smile that she's sure he could recognize like the back of his hand. "no, you're fine. there wasn't really much to interrupt anyway."
and just as she's said to him before, she lets the words fall again. "no. not yet, at least. he and i have talked about it before and labels make him feel a certain way, and that's more than alright with me. i'm in no rush, really," the curve of her shoulder rests upon the vending machine, voice low as she then murmurs without meeting his eyes. "what about you? ... gahyeon, right?"
@ning yizhuo Her laugh enters his ears like a dog whistle as he turns the corner, just barely stopping himself from running into the girl that almost deafened him. "Why are you yelling?? It's like you were made to embarrass me in front of all these nice staff members." His eyes rolled slightly as he reaches a hand up to flick her forehead lightly, fighting back a smile as her nose scrunches at his actions.
"Ok anyways, I'm here to find you so you can fill my empty stomach with a snack from the ty vending machine." His hands reach towards her wrist as he gently tugs her back in the direction she was walking away from. "Oh hey, it's Hyuck hyung! He also owes me a snack. Let's go bully him." His hold on her arm naturally slips into her hands as he tightens his grip, dragging her along with him towards his second favorite hyung.
@THIS IS KARINA@lee donghyuck a bewildered expression crossed his face at her remark that reached his ears. was he /not/ supposed to eat the skittles he had just bought? if it wasn’t evident by the way his stomach rumbled during their trip to the vending machine, he was fairly hungry — so to be chastised for something as small as eating candy seemed ridiculous to him. yet, when her eyes met his own, he could see the wave of emotions that crashed behind them; a mixture of her own confusion, pain, and perhaps a bit of sadness that he no doubt believed to be the result of the situation between her and her lost friend. she still cared for haechan — that was obvious, and he wasn’t sure if he felt resentment towards the other male or if he felt … guilty. guilty for the way he’s been treating someone that his lover still held dear to her heart. after all, he was the one who stepped between the pair and (unintentionally) severed their friendship. any normal person would feel hurt if the person they loved and thought returned the same feelings chose someone else. as her lips met his cheek in a chaste kiss, a prolonged exhale of air slipped from his nose, his lips pursing into a thin line as she aired what her plans were for the next few minutes. of course, she wanted to talk to the other male. that didn’t come as a surprise to him. still, he felt an unsettled feeling enter the pit of his stomach, forcing the emotions within himself to cluster and become confused with one another. with a nod of his head, he gifted her hand a tender squeeze, knowing the least bit he could be was supportive. “alright…i’ll wait around unless my members end up needing me. which i doubt so —.” his shoulders raised in a faint shrug, brows knitting upon his forehead. bringing her hand up to his lips, he dusted her knuckles with a feathering kiss before releasing the hold he had on her, eyes watching as her retreating form headed towards the vending machine once more. this was going to be a long day. releasing another short sigh, the blue haired male moved to sit on one of the plastic chairs that was perched against the hallway wall, his form slouching a bit as his arms crossed over his chest loosely. he tried his best not to stare at the pair just a few feet away, but he couldn’t help the way his attention drifted to them every now and then, each passing second causing his nerves to go into a frenzy.
