@‘ beomgyu c. chaeyoung's nose scrunched up at his retort, before sighing and nodding tiredly. "fine fine, i'll be a bit more careful in the future..." chaeyoung found herself grinning when she elicited laughter from her coworker-friend, always happy to be able to make him laugh. she then ended up huffing at his reply, nudging at him with her elbow gently "that's true, but i think i'd get a complain from a karen if they saw me drooling. at least security won't care enough to yell at me for drooling." chaeyoung nodded to herself, repeating the scents "blackberry and bay... smells really good." she rested her head against his shoulder. "it's a comforting scent, nothing like yeosang's..."

@‘ chaeyoung l. rolling his eyes at her retort, beomgyu could only tut in disapproval for a brief moment. “yeah, yeah... a good employee who could’ve hurt herself or worse--” he inhaled, catching himself from getting too carried away. “chae, all i’m saying is you should be a tad bit more careful.” deciding to leave the matter at that, chaeyoung’s sudden reasoning behind her choice of location and the query which followed shortly after had garnered a hearty laugh from beomgyu. laughter so merry it had even managed to turn a few heads. bowing slightly in apology towards the others, he then shifted his attention to her. “the poor security guards handling the cameras are obliged to watch you drool in your sleep, wherever you are,” he snickered before tilting his head to sniff himself subtly, “hmm i’m not one to look at brands but... i think it has hints of blackberry and bay— why? do i smell bad like yeosang?” he wondered, sniffing himself again out of new-founded worry this time after recalling the contents of the staff chat earlier.

@‘ beomgyu c. she couldn't help but pout at his response, "not crazy, i'm just being a-" she yawns, "good employee or whatnot... wouldn't want them dropping the knife on a karen." chaeyoung remarked, letting beomgyu tug her closer. she found herself sniffing his scent, reminded of her asking yeosang on the chat about his sickly sweet cologne, pleased to know beomgyu's scent wasn't as sickening to her nostrils. wrapping her arms securely around him, chaeyoung nodded. "to the staff lounge! i don't wanna be watched when i drool in my sleep- also, what cologne do you use?" her train of thought was more like a teleporter right now.

@‘ chaeyoung l. “i can see that, and thank god i found you before you decided to do something else crazy”, beomgyu sighed, gently pulling chaeyoung closer to him once her hand was in his. “please don’t ever deal with a crazy knife kid again, especially when you can barely stand straight,” he said, voice laced with genuine concern before his lips pulled up in a small smile at her yawn. beomgyu had to admit, though she tended to be reckless, he found her quite adorable at times. shaking his head in amusement, the male then carefully hoisted her up in his arms. “the staff lounge, are you sure? i’m sure there’s a bunch of comfy beds in the next department,” he mused out loud yet began their journey to the staff lounge, nonetheless.

@‘ beomgyu c. just as she thought she was imagining it, the blurry figure of beomgyu appeared before her. chaeyoung huffed out a little laugh. "i guess i made a couple wrong turns." she replied back, yawning right after. scrunching up her whole face after she yawned, she reached out blindly for beomgyu's hand, grabbing onto it once she felt it. "i'm so tired... i could fall asleep standing up..." chaeyoung let out another yawn. "carry me to the staff lounge, mister."

@‘ chaeyoung l. having searched high and low for the other with no luck, beomgyu had nearly given up and momentarily caved in to help a bewildered customer. that was, until he heard the return of his name from the female, not too far from where he stood. excusing himself once he directed the shopper to one of his other colleagues, beomgyu swiftly made his way in the direction of the voice to find the one person he’d been looking everywhere for. “hey, you... what are you doing here? you’re a long way from the cafe,” he teased with a chuckle, holding out a hand whilst he approached chaeyoung carefully in hopes to steady her from her dazed state.

@‘ beomgyu c. honestly, chaeyoung thinks she might be drunk from the way her vision sways and her head pounds from the lack of sleep and the overdose of coffee she's had. after somehow dealing with kid with knife and their family, she finds herself leaning against a wall, squinting around. she swears she hears her name and although she can't see the face, she thinks it's beomgyu calling her. "beomgyu? is that you?" she calls out, not really caring how loud she is.

@‘ chaeyoung l. “chae?? lee chaeyoung? psppsps where are you?” beomgyu called out softly as he scoured through the kitchen and dining spaces looking for the said girl. the last he heard, she had been chasing after some kid with a knife in her delirious sleep starved state, thus he wanted to make sure she was safe and could possibly get her to take a nap.
